Male Below the Waist Elements with Which Figures.

For each generation of male figures from Michael 4 to Genesis 8, which products include the male anatomical elements?

In your runtime folder, what are they called?

Will the anatomical elements for one male figure work on every other male figure of the same generation?

With the anatomical elements attached to a figure, what happens to pants when they are loaded onto the figure?

Thanks

  • I believe Michael 4 included them in the base product, but it's been a while. Not 100% sure about Genesis, but from Genesis 2 and on, they are included in each pro bundle for a male, adult figure. Toon characters are not considered adult figures and usually don't include them. If you aren't sure, in the description of what's included in the pro bundle, it will say if they're included.

They are in the "anatomy" folder under the figure name. They work on every character that includes a texture for them, the item you get in each pro bundle is the same. If you load pants they will poke through, since the pants will be conformed to the figure and will have collision set up with the figure.

M4 didn’t include them with the base figure, they were included in the base morphs pack. From Genesis on they were only in Pro Bundles.

  • On another site, we did a few experiments regarding the ability to hide anatomical elements under the pants.

You CAN get a bulge with the anatomical elements if you have the right posing and changing some of the smoothing settings on the pants. As a Geograft, the clothing will react to it.  However, as loaded in to the scene, the anatomical elements will poke through in the default pose.

What  I want isn’t the anatomical element for nude renders, but just to make pants and bathing suits look normal.

  • They come with adult pro bundles only.

Do they poke through dforce clothing too?

This is possible. You just need to pose the anatomy in a way that it isn't sticking out, but lays more flat.

Then you increase the smoothing modifier in the clothing item so that it's simulating the surface of the clothing more than the default.

  • The male morphs usually include at least one bulge option, and of course there are always dForms.

I've found there are male anatomical elements for Daz3D figures on another site.  Do those attach the same way as the DAZ ones?  Is there some difference.  I don't want to have to pay $50 for an anatomical element for each generation.

Probably, but you should probably ask there to be sure.

  • Some may be geografts, I know some won't be. But even if they aren't, they will still work for most purposes. But as already suggested, asking over there about the specific product you are looking at will give you answers more easily. (As an aside, if you have never wanted any items in a pro bundle to make it a better deal to get them on sale, then no, it wouldn't be worth getting a pro bundle just for that reason. There is a slight chance that in the future they will bring back the deal of getting previous generation pro bundles for free when you buy a new pro bundle, but based on recent history of pro bundles, that probably wouldn't come back until Genesis 9 at the earliest)

Have you ever created morphs using Blender? There are a bunch of tutorials out there on how to do this.

It would be pretty trivial to add a simple crotch bulge morph to a male character if all you want is some geometry under the clothing to fill it out.

This, when it is just about the bulge - why making it that complicated ?

https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-body-morphs e.g., you'll find a "Genital Bulge" morph in the "Hip" category

And yes this bulge is projected into/ on the guys pants, you can even set the limits off :)
