How to backup ALL DAZ Studio and it´s settings

SotoSoto Posts: 1,450

Hi!

During the years, everytime I need to format windows, or whatever, my Connect content in another drive is lost, I always have to reinstall everything (and no, DS does not detect I have the same content already downloaded in my cloud folders when it attempts to reinstall them).

I want to change my SSD with a bigger one, and migrate DAZ Studio into it. So, apart from the Connect issue mentioned above, I´d love to retain all my interface and plugins and customizations. Is there a way to achieve this?

Thank you.

Back up the CMS databse, it should be caught with your profile files but the location is set in Edit>Preferences in the CMS Settings tab - and of course back up the Daz Connect Data directory withe content, Edit>Preferences, Content tab, Content Directory Manager button

Thanks, I did all that, but again, all Connect files are broken. Reimport database was able to show me only manually installed My Library stuff.

DAZ Connect files are showing with a broken icon (which is already an improvement),but when I try to load something, it says file does not exists. Any idea?

Is the path to the Connect content directory right in DS preferences?

OK, You are a GODDESS! I always set the Connect directory from the Content Directory Managaer and it always stick to the default path no matter what, but somehow, doing it from preferences allowed me to set my custom Connect folder and delete the default one.

    Thank you very much!!!!! heart
