How do I find tutorials, scripts & utilities that I have bought?

Hello!

I have bought several tutorials, scripts and utilities through the DAZ store over the years.  Some of the tutorials i have downloaded into a seperate direcotry, but some I am sure I have missed putting in there.  I have put some of the scripts and utilities on my DAZ bar, but I am sure I have missed some there too.
I looked through my purchased items (over 100 pages), and I can sort them by date or name only.  I can search the DAZ store by genre or figure, but not for tutorials or scripts or utilities.  The Smart Content pane shows some items in Scripts and Utilities, but not all of them and some things that should not be in there are and I see no way to find tutorials in the Smart Content pane (they don't need to be in DAZ anyway though).

Is there a way to search for tutorials, scripts and utilities? or do I have to go line by line through my purchased items to find these things?

Thanks!

    You could try doing a Windows search for PDF and WMV files in your library directory.  I think those are the two formats the tutorials from Daz ship in, so if you installed them, that's how you can find them.   As for scripts, you'll need to check your Content Library tab as they don't all show up in Smart Content.

  • If you downloaded with DIM, you can right click on the installed item and look at "Show installed files" which should show you the path.

  • If you downloaded with DIM, you can right click on the installed item and look at "Show installed files" which should show you the path.

    But I would have to know the name / product number for the item, right?  I want to see all of the ones that I own that I have forgotten the names of.
    If I search DIM for "tutorial" or "class" or "script" or "resource"  I get a listing of the products with that in their name.
    If I search the DAZ store for "tutorial", I get several lines of items with above one of them :
    Daz Studio > Tutorials and Curriculums > Resources and Add-ons

    I tried a couple of different ways to get to the entire category Resources and Add-ons to show up for me, but can find no way to do so.  I was hoping that there was a way for customers to see those types of categories in the DAZ store, Product Library, DIM, or DAZ itself.

    Try looking in your DAZ Studio Content Library under "General" - a lot of tutorials install there.

    If you have the shopping add-on for your browser, then go to Daz Studio > Tutorials and Curriculums > Resources and Add-ons and then select "Items Owned".

  • Rob has a couple of sugestions for DIM. If you enter

    file::rx::ci::^.+\.ds(a|b|e|)$

    in the filter box you will get all products that contain scripts (which will include a fair number of legacy sets with script-based presets, and older sets with a script file alongside Poser library files, as well as actual script products).

    file::rx::ci::^.+/scripts/.+\.ds(a|b|e|)$

    restricts the results to script filse in the Scrpts folder, or a sub-folder, which should be the actual script products.

    Remember that you can use the magnfying glass icon to the elft of the filter box to save filters for future use.

    I tried the first one and got over 1k results.

    The second one brought up 3 results, and I have bunches of scripts.  I guess it only works with vanilla installations?

    It's using the relative path in the package, but if your other scripts are not going in the Scripts folder they won't be included.

    They're in the usual scripts folder in my Content Library in Daz so /shrug.  And it found the Smoking Props just fine!

    Thank you!   That bar did not show up until I went back into the settings for DAZ Deals.  I didn't have to change any settings though.

    Richard, I had similar results to Sevrin, but thank you for sharing the article on DIM. I had no idea it did more than download stuff!  :)

  • Rob says try

    file::rx::ci::^.*/scripts/.+\.ds(a|b|e|)$

    which will catch more using .* instead of .+ (switch to zero or more isntead of one or more characters at the beginning). The folder name can also be switched (including using more than one sequential folder for the path) to have the filter search for other things, of course.

    That one worked a treat and found all my scripty stuff!

    So this is why Smoking Props is in there too:

    Scripts (.DSE)

    • Make Smokes Face Camera.dse
    • Smoke Randomizer.dse
