A question about characters.

Hi all,

Ive found a few characters I like on here and they are at a good price.

My question is do I really need to buy the figure they are based on.

For example if I want to buy Tao HD for Mrs Chow for $7.95 do I really have to spend $31 buying Mrs Chow. I thought the idea behind the Genesis figures was the ability to moprh them to any look or size and some figures sold are able to be used on the G8F.

    You will need the base figure any character is based on, or it will not look proper.

    The base shape is the starting point from which the character is built off of, so without that it wont work nice.

    If you want Tao HD to look like exactly the character in promo pictures then you need to have Mrs Chow. If you don't want her to look like the promo pictures then you don't 'need' Mrs Chow. Tao HD will load and be usuable (you might get an error message that can be ignored) with the base G8F, she just won't be the character you see in the promos. Does that make sense?

    You can still get the character, but they will look different from the promo. Some look better than others without the base.

    That said, if you have different face and body morphs, you can sometimes do your own tweaks to get them where you want them. Otherwise you might want to watch for the base character to go on sale.

    Thanks for the advice everyone.

    Budget will stretch to Mrs Chow as I like the mature figures Daz puts out.
