Why Would Texture bump map scaling get bigger in a certain direction (please see jpeg)

Why Would Texture bump map scaling diverge (get smaller) in a certain direction? You can see the carbon fiber texture start normal and it just expands. It was imported as a collada file from C4D.

What does the wireframe look like?
That would be a result of the UV mapping of the mesh, maybe the image is flipped
Yeah, to me it looks like the UV map is stretched.
