I3 9100f vs I5 8400

Hello all,

I have today a I5 8400, 32 GB ram, 2080ti and 1080ti.

Use it only for iray render.

Will build a gaming computer for my sisterson and to save money i’m thinking of give him my I5 and by a cheap I3 9100f. 

Will that impact the render preformence?

    You'll give up 2 cores which may effect how well DS itself works but it shouldn't have a noticeable impact on Iray rendering unless the render drop to CPU.

    I failed to tell that the computer is just for render, i make my scene on a laptop and then ”send” it for render.
