Flare Gun

I could really use a flare gun, the kind kept on lifeboats.
If somebody could take a revolver handle and body, cut off the cylinder for the bullets, and put the end of a shotgun barrel on the end it would work I think.
I'm endlessly searching for a gun that looks "close enough" until then.
Either that or I'll have to learn to make my own props...

I bought a couple of flare gun models from CGTrader (pretty much trhe same models as at Turbosquid), but really couldn't get them to work. They are native FBX models and even those with OBJ versions exported from the FBX have weird things going on, like being embedded in flat geometry planes. Tried to use Autodesk FBX Coverter 2013 to convert them to OBJ myself and still couldn't get acceptable results.
Guess I'll try the one from ShareCG and maybe figure out how to modify the geometry to make it look more like I want? I mean make some little rectangles or cylinders objects in DAZ and paretnt them onto the prop model, if that is possible.
