Daz3D's New 404 Page

Well this is new!

Very cute! I love seeing little improvements like this, it really gives the site some nice polish. It's never fun to find out a link leads to a 404 page but seeing these two cuties pop up makes it a little less of a bummer. heheh :)

I hope we get to see more little tweaks and updates like this. It's really nice to see some changes and updates to the site. heart

    It feels really unprofessional to me, almost childish. I don't like it at all.

    Many people don't know about the dinosaur Chrome has that when clicked, acts as a game character. Doing the space bar makes it jump, etc. You know the one I'm talking about, the gray dino that looks pixelated. I think that's Chrome? Or is it a Google search result?

    I'm with Diva on this one, I like the use of characters (colorful ones) as it goes with the site.

    I’m with you guys. It gives the site a sense of personality and fun. I like it!

    As of yesterday, order confirmation emails come from "Daz 3D," not "No Reply" as before. (Although there's still no SPF or DKIM to prove that they actually come from Daz, and they are still sent unencrypted.)

    I agree.  I think it strikes the right tone, given the nature of this site.

    I've seen plenty of fun and silly 404 pages on several web sites.  It never makes me think of them as unprofessional.  It feels like they're adding some character to their site.  I'll take a fun 404 page over the default 404 not found page.  wink

    They should've made it similar to the front page, where it rotates out with various Gallery images. So you get a different pic every time you get the 404.

    I like it! Especially because lately we see that 404 page very often.

    At least I'm welcomed by fun stuff and not by a boring, flat, empty page which seems to have fun of me.

    and use the tools supplied    up there   ↑↑     in the tools above the typing panel,  to make sure that the link they copy paste does work when added to the forum post.    Sometimes they don't if you don't use the "add a link" tool.

    The good folks in the random runtime challenge RRRR dedicated a theme to replacing the 404 File Not Found Error for Daz.  Some great enties.  Here was mine, less great, but I enjoyed participating.  Hope more people check out RRRR.  My random required elements were

    ...umm, but how can be?  it usually means the link or the site it linked to has bugs that the user didn't  create.

    I recall the DAZileaks where linking to the SKU lists to forecast upcoming products was forbidden
