Hi guys,

Max sampels and max time are rised to the max.
But it dont change anything if it on standard or i change it to max it is finaly in der render everytime by only 60 iterations.
My goal is ulimited rendertime with a lot more iterations than only 6.
Hope someone can help me.
Great

@kayto93_073094d40c,
The Progressive Rendering settings you are looking for are:
There are three stop conditions: 1) Convergence Ratio, which is disabled when you turn Quality off; 2) Max Time, which is turned off by setting the parameter to 0; and 3) Max Samples. However, there is no setting to turn off Max Samples and it is not possible to get true unlimited rendering in Iray using Daz Studio.
From personal experience, I can tell you 15000 samples is usually more than enough. However, I see from your screenshot, you know how to increase it to more, if you need it.
Turn off Rendering quality and set the Converged ratio to 98-99, also if you set Max time to 0 it will render pretty much until it reaches the max samples, so that can be set really high to just keep it going.
perfect thank you guys (maybe a bug) max time at 0 didnt effect anything dont know why but i changed renderquality and converged ratio and know im on 70 iterations and it is still by 0%.
Thank you very mutch :)

Ps.: and yes i dont want really unlimited time because i have not so mutch time but it should be a timelength of over 1 day so i can stop when ever i want.
With Quality off, the indicator is now showing you the percentage of Max Samples. (For example, had you set Max Samples to 100, at 70 iterations, the indicator would have shown 70% complete.)
You don't need to worry about Rendering Converged Ratio when you turn Quality off. The software no longer attempts to reach convergence.
oh sry again i know this is a other topic but how is it with the denoiser? in iray preview it looks really good but in normal render it dont do anything and it is both on and should start at 50 itarations.
(edit: with clothes (maybe the darkness) the denoiser dont work in normal render it looks really noisy. Without clothes it worked perfectly but i dont want naked people)
I'm not much of a denoiser user, though I have found it to come in handy with low sample test renders to see who my lighting is doing.
I've read that you can test the results of using the denoiser:
So far, I've yet to see it make a difference at the high number of samples/iterations I render at.
thank you very mutch I will give it a try :)
i tried it. Max samples 5000 (standart), max time 0 and render quality 2.
It finished by 278 iterations. Than i followed your steps but changed from 5000 to 6000 and pressed resume. Nothing, it starts and directly ended the render still by 278. I tried than the max samples to 9999999.
And the same again. I added max time than to 9999999 and again the same.
Why this isnt normal or?
(this is the render and it looks really bad with this lot of noise but the background and the box with the duvet looking good with no noise and they are the darkest part on the image)
Turn off render quality.
ahaha okay im stupid i didnt saw the on off button and thought it is like the max time. I misunderstand you earlyer when you said "Convergence Ratio, which is disabled when you turn Quality off; 2"
I thought u mean i have to rise the render quality to 2 so it would be off.
Thank you again i will try it tomorrow again.
