Why are PAs changing their name?

Why are PAs changing their names? I can't find vendors I am familiar with. Silver became Jessaii. Now I see GDN labeled product sold under the name Valery3D.

    Hello Barbult.

    Sorry for the inconvinience due to the name change.

    I really wanted to have my PA name changed into my real life name Valery for a long while now but i did not dare doing that because exactly for the reason you mention above. But I have put it of for a few years and finally I got the courage and took the step to do it.

    I hope you can forgive me smiley

    About the GND labels you mean iG on the labels right? Yea you are right about that I noticed it too this morning when i checked the product page. I contacted DAZ3D staff about this just now. The right labeled promo images with the iV were  submitted to DAZ3d but somehow the old ones that contain the iG labels did stick and it did not update.

    I hope it will be fixed this coming monday when they are back in the office

    Hi. Valery, thanks for your reply! I was referring to older products that have GDN at the beginning of the name. I do see that some newer products are iG and now one is iV. It can get quite confusing.

    Ah Yes I see What you mean. Sorry for the confusion.  Unfortunatly those abbreviations on the previous products being sold under my previous name are not going to be changed, but for all new coming products releases they will have my new abbreviations on Them smiley

    I noticed the name change on Renderosity earlier this week. I was going to send a sitemail, but decided not to be a busybody. Congratulations on your new name, and I hope you will make us some more characters soon because your skins look soooo good.

    Awww Thank you so much for your message and your compliment that means a lot to me. I am working on a new character as we speaksmileyI have not been making them for a while so I am a bit rusty on that part lol but I know it all starts coming back while working on it. I am currently working on the skin Of that new character and  also working on a new outfit. Very excited about these projects i am working on. Cannot wait to see them finished and show you all the end result smiley

    For me it is something i have wanted to do for a very long time now, at least 5 years. I have always hated the name I was using, it was never intended to be used as a vendor name but when i created my accounts it was as a customer so once i started vendoring i just kept it. It took a long time for me to find something to incorporate my real name that I also felt was unique enough and represented me as a person and make the decision to change it. I was worried for awhile about brand recognition, losing customers, etc but in the end I do this because i love it and every time i created a product it took some of the joy out of it everytime. I did announce on my facebook page about the change before I closed it but that really only helped if people were following it lol.

    Thanks for the explanation. I'm not a Facebook user. I only recently learned that Jessaii=Silver, because someone else posted it in these forums. When looking for Vendors in the Daz store list, it looks like some vendors have left Daz, but really some have just changed their name. I wonder if there are others that users think have left, that also just changed their name. Do you know of other recent changes we should be aware of?

    Edit: If you are not comfortable saying who else changed names, maybe you could send them here to ID themselves for us.

    I know bobbie25 is Barbara Brundon now. Other than that, I'm not too sure.

    I know there's another PA that changed their name that sold their other one and the assets along with it. Some PAs have businesses associated with the PA name, and if they sell the business, the name goes with it.

    Thanks for the extra info, people. Didn't bluebird3d sell all her old products to Daz and come back as a different name? It seems like her old stuff became DOs, and then she had new stuff, but I sure can't remember the new name.

    Bobbie has grown up, I guess she's not 25 anylonger. Perhaps Umble is not so Fugly anymore.

     Well, there is this discussion... Maybe the one with Bluebird 3d is a leftover from earlier work. Some products seem to take a while to get released, for whatever reason. There are still some Imaginary 3D items coming out as DAZ Originals, and they left town six months ago. Some of those SKUs go back to to 56000's, so they've been on ice for a couple of years.
