Gia 7 Character and Texture

I recently bought the Gia 7 character for Genesis 3 (for the texture not the morphs) and was blown away by how utterly perfect this texture is. Even the Gia 8 does not compare. The item is listed as a DAZ product with no vendor name mentioned. Does anyone know who made Gia 7 texture and if they've got anymore textures available through DAZ? Asking the company directly is like pulling teeth, so I figured I'd ask in the forum first. Thanks.

I don't know who made it, but a lot of the G3 Daz Original "Official 7" figures have excellent textures. I agree that Gia's is outstanding, and also one of my favorite textures from the G3 line. I also really like textures from Kalea 7, Mei Lin 7, and Monique 7 - to name a few. On the male G3 side there are quite a few great textures as well. Elijah 7 is still one of my all time favorite textures AND morphs. :)
yeah, I am a big fan of the Mei Lin 7 textures over the Mei Lin 8 ones. Luckily it's all interchangable, LOL it's funny, since I have been using game engines and VR instead of DS for the last month, you really get to see the quality (or not) of some of the texture sets because you don't have the special shaders or IRAY and game engines utilize different lighting and renderers.
It would be nice if all the core figures were credited.
Sometimes, if you select the figure in product view (not item view), it will show the artist name in the information area below. Most of them are just credited to "DAZ Originals" as the only artist responsible though.
Often if you go to, eg, the Face Surface in the Surfaces tab and click the grey dropdown arrow and choose 'browse' you will see the pathname to the face diffuse texture and the last directory component of that path name where the diffuse face texture image resides is usually, but not always, the name of the PA that made the image.
eg, I discovered, or am guessing, a PA named 'Devious Dolls' made many of the Guy 7 / Jax 7 / Killian 7 textures (all part of The Guy 7 Pro Bundle) that way.

The Daz Original characters for Genesis 7 had unique UVs.
They're still interchangable. You can either pick up the product in the store that adds those UVs to G8F - or you can use Daz itself to bake the textures across to the standard UV, which is more effort, but then also means that the textures are compatible with overlays and the like.
Oh, thanks. I like their work. It was the 1st stylistic match with the Girl 7 Pro Bundle when they make the Guy 7 Pro Bundle.
