She is what she is, an anime/manga fusion character. Some of the outfits are rather mature looking, others look teen, so like most manga she’s sort of age ambiguous. If i was into rendering teens I’d pick her up for some of the outfits. The only thing that bugs me is her mouth, in some of her images her mouth looks downright scary when making expressions.

Most of us who do supporting content such as characters, hair, etc, dont get copies of the items that are going to be included in the bundles so when we are doing promos for our sets we are left to use what we own to best fit them as we see fits.
They are from a freebie at Rendo by squarepeg3d called Forgiver that I recolored to match :)
Of the "Sir Not Appearing In This Product" thingies, I'm more curious about the head wings in the lead promo for ChrystalAnne myself.
I like her a lot. She has a different personality in her facial features and movements than other anime characters. I like most of her items, too. I've got my cart loaded up and will probably pull the trigger today. Looking forward to her male counterpart.

Can someone post a render of Kanade with the G8M clone dial also at 100%, please? Any of the cute new outfits would do (I just picked up the Playful Jumper). I was intending to wait until the male counterpart is out, but she's adorable as is and guy stuff transfers over pretty easily.
I'd be curious to see what results come from Mixing Kanade with some of the other manga/anime girls. Maybe it's because I look at the base characters as part of a greater gene pool than more stand alone. I bought her, but stuck working late so won;t get to try her out until tomorrow evening earliest. I think my first experiment might be a Kanade/Aiko 50/50%, but the others as a mix I'll try as well. Have to agree that a male counterpart would also be greatly useful. If anyone is game, I'd love to see some renders of her mixed with others.
Not interested in the bundles or their clothes since I don't do any anime so she and the clothes look to comic booky. The absolute only thing I adore is Hana. Her skin is amazing with the freckles and I like her options. I can use it with Growing up Morphs, and the Growing up Faces. So yeah, that's it for Kanade any of her stuff. Hana is an instant buy.
I did find things a few things in the featured artists this time around. I'm getting the Denim Jumper and textures, Kawaii Infused outfit and textures, and the Chantelle outfit. I'm looking for things that are age appropriate for real figures like Tweens and young teens. I have to miss out on several others there because the textures are cheap, but the outfits themsleves are $20 +/-.
What does it mean when they say hair comes with shaders? Do all the bundle hairs use these same shaders?
Regarding Hana; She's one of the characters that comes with both 3DL and Iray material settings (thank you!). She also comes with hair shaders. Are the hair shaders both 3DL and Iray, or Iray only?
I'm majorly unimpressed with all her shoes, but that's pretty typical. The base is extremely cute, as are the outfits. And some of those appear to come in enough pieces to be able to kitbash, which makes them potentially useful. I'm undecided on the bundles, but wll prbably pick up the base character. I do rather like the hairs.
According to the "Additional Details" section of the ReadMe here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/61185/start the hair shaders come with Iray, AoA-Subsurface and omHumanSurface versions.
Now that sounds useful for someone who prefers not to mess with Iray. There are way too many wigs with only Iray materials.
Think I wait for now. Maybe there are some additional deals coming up if the Bundle does not that well. With Teen Jane an extra discount came just two days after I purchased.

The Kanade hair has a real Marie Rose vibe, and Kanade herself probably could be dialed in to match Marie more closely without too much effort. A thought for the 'celeb lookalike' types around here.
That being said, with the prices creeping up lately on new Daz stuff, and the fact that 'only' $70 off with the orange banner is worse than previous deals, well I've been passing on a lot of pro bundles recently. As others have noted, the recent DO sale was much more interesting. That $70 off doesn't go very far either at 'regular' prices. Compared to the Genesis 8 Pro character sales of the last two years versus this year, yeah not impressed. The 'buy four addons' thing also really harshes my mellow when it comes to the recent Pro bundle sales.
Kanade's bundle is not a bad bundle, but at $70+ with four prereq items for max discount before I even try to min-max the $70 off of related items, yeah, I may be passing on her for now, as I did on Sanjay, Kala, Jane, and a couple of others. I have a lot of Genesis 8 characters already, so no hurry...
Ahh well. Maybe some related sale with a Kanade prereq will appear in the next couple of days to pique my interest...
The fact that there IS a male counterpart coming is enough to make me buy her by itself. Hopefully he'll also mix well with other characters to make matches for all the unattached anime female types out there. Other than that, the Pro bundle isn't spectacular, but there are very little "i'd never use that in a million years items" as well. really like some of the add-on characters, especially Hana. Don't need DAZ to include gens as the ones from Rotica work just fine (and there are some nice tentacle options as well, for "those" kind of anime fans
). Definite buy for me.
Not getting her because I don't like the look of anime. It's just that simple. I'm thinking that's probably the reason for a lot of others too ;). She probably is a good deal, but...gah...another female and a toony one at that. Not for me. So, onward to the next. LOL. I just save money on releases like this, which isn't a bad thing. I buy plenty without them :P, so Daz isn't really losing anything. LOL.

Easy pass for me, I have a character that looks a lot like her.
She also has a bit of a Keiko vibe going on.
She strikes me as a Korean video game character. (kind of like how this generation Aiko is in the style of current Japanese video games)
She would fit in as a character for any of the hundreds of Korean mobile games or MMOs that are out there.
Totally LOVE her! I have a question though.. I have the pro bundle, 4 add-ons, and the extra $40 of free items in my cart... if I add the DO plat coupon to it will it break the discounts, or even work at all? I don't buy much stuff so I don't know these things. =)
Fisty you won't get full value of your coupon because of the freebies
Usually, the $6 DO coupon discounts all of the DO items in your cart.
When things are $0 in your cart, the discount is wasted. The price won't go below $0, but it will still average the discount across all the DO items.
You usually see less than the entire $6 coupon taken off of the final total.

The DO Plat copon won't "break the discounts"; BUT there is a known glitch that it will not fully apply with the free items in your cart.
It won't break the discount but there's a good chance the total won't be reduced by the full amount of the coupon, the "free DO with purchase" offers tend to eat part of the coupon.
Unfortunately, it doesn't "eat" the correct portion of the coupon value. :D It's a lot hungrier with those items in the cart. :D
Yay Lots of goodies to play with!
I was at first hesitant, but went ahead and bought the Pro Bundle and six add-ons, one of which was Hana. She grabbed me right away. I have been able to do two renders, one of Kanade 8 and the other of Hana. I fussed with Kanade and her outfit too much and crashed my system and had to start all over. Went another way, simpler. I also kept Hana simple as well. I would like to note, one of my free items was Cute3D's YDress For Genesis and it dForced like a dream. I loved the sweater in dForce Yami Kawaii Outfit, and paired it with WildDesigns' https://www.daz3d.com/candy-slims-jeans-for-genesis-2-female-s. My thanks to Divamakeup for her package, https://www.daz3d.com/easy-light-and-render--spectrum-studio for help on the Hana render.
While I prefer realistic characters and renders today, it is Manga/Anime art that brought me to 3D Art and is something that simply brings a smile to this grandmother's face.
