DAZ 3D Avatars

Hi,

If I purchase Daz 3d Avatars to use the same in CLO3D.

1. Will I be able to use its  all skin textures in CLo?

2. Will I be able to move its pose in CLO?

3. Can I customise avatar shape by putting specific measureemt or is it done though just sliders?

Really apprcaite asnwers to above questions.
Thanks

The first two questions are more about CLO3D, and what formats and shaders it will import, so we can't be hugely useful.

    1) Daz figures usually have many different textures per material (don't confuse textures and materials); Although CLO3D presumably supports diffuse textures, I cannot promise it can support every different texture type that any model may use. (Specular Strength/Colour, Roughness, Bump, Normal, Translucency Strength/Colour, Displacement, Opacity, etc, etc). That's more a question for someone who knows CLO3D.

    2) Daz can export to common rigged formats like DAE and FBX, but you will lose corrective morphs used to improve the deformation shapes. This depends on what formats CLO3D will import and what form of rigging is used.

    3) While Measure Metrics does allow you to get measurements back from a figure (within Daz, certainly not within CLO3D) and thus adjust until they are correct, I don't believe you can customise a figure by putting measurements directly in.

    3) you can with the Figure Metrics script, which is included in the Measure Metrics product.

And Measure Metrics is on sale (70% off) today so I bought it because I also have Marvelous Designer and have seen Measure Metrics mentioned in discussions as being useful.

Ok - so I've just got around to having a look at Measure/Figure Metrics. What I'd like to know at the moment is this: is there a way to export the figure including the measurements so that Marvelous Designer can read those measurements? There is a similar tape measure system in MD but it seems to me to be a duplicated effort if I have to re-measure everything manually. Ideally there would be some kind of exported file format that MD can read from the output of Measure/Figure Metrics. Please bear in mind that this is my first attempt at using these tools so I might not be understanding the technology at all.

My trouble with Measure Metrics/Figure Metric (I consider the tandem to be one & the same product) is if I have a character with a 31.5" waist and change the height to 72" then the waist changes by itself to 33.5" which of course is the wrong thing to do because a 31.5" waist is a perfectly normal measurement. That's not the only measurement if you change a measurement that changes other measurements automatically but an easy one to check yourself. This is on G8M. Is there some sort of parameter configuration I'm supposed to edit to stop that behavior?
