Shaders not showing up.

I've downloaded the CoolArtDude vinyl shaders but they're not showing up. I dragged the Shaders folder that was downloaded into the carrara folder, but nothing is showing up in Carrara. What am i missing?

    The bottom tray is the SEQUENCER and the BROWSER.

    You want to be in the BROWSER.

    over on the right edge of this tray, find a little black folder icon and click on it

    you want to select ADD A FOLDER. It will make you confirm what kind of files these are: objects, shaders, scenes, misc, etc...

    Thanks. I'll try that. Another thing while I've got you here. I've downloaded 8.5 build 204 for Mac. When I try an area render, all I get is a white screen. This happened the first time I tried 8.5 and obviously still an issue. I'm on Mountain Lion, which has been around a long time. Don't they ever fix bugs?

    That was the last version of the beta, and yes they fixed it.
    version 243 is the current build
