(DS 4.11) More VRAM with combo Titan RTX + 2x RTX 2080 Ti ???

I need more VRAM for rendering bigger scenes. Unfortunately Iray only uses the VRAM of just one single GPU but fortunately for rendering SLI isn't necessary. So currently I'm rendering with two RTX 2080 Ti's which only got 11 GB VRAM. If I'd include one Titan RTX with 24 GB VRAM to my current system, will it work at all and if yes how much VRAM would Daz Studio 4.11 use then, 24 or still 11??? And is the PCIe slot speed (16x, 8x, 4x) crucial for rendering?

It will use 24Gb if the scene is bigger than 11Gb and the 2080ti's won't be involved at all. No the PCIE lanme count of the slot is mostly irrelevant for rendering, it will take longer to load the scene on the card on a lower lane count slot but that is a matter of a few seconds.

Does it mean if my scene is bigger than 11 GB it will render the scene only with the Titan RTX as if the two 2080 Ti's weren't there or it just uses the VRAM of the Titan but the cuda cores of all GPUs?

The 2080ti's, and any other card involved in Iray, will not participate in the render unless the scene fits in its VRAM.

OK, and do you or anyone know if it's planned that Iray will combine the VRAM of the GPUs some day? So if I have two 2080 Ti's with 2 x 11 GB Ram, and I'll connect them with a SLI bridge and get 22 GB. That would be awesome if this would be possible sometime! Because the Titan RTX are much too overpriced and a pure rip-off of nvidia!

Who knows. Nvidia writes iRay so they have to implement the feature and no one knows if they will. Be aware the Nvlink bridges are a lot more expensive than the old SLI ones.

I guess I have no other choice then but replacing my 2080 Ti's with the Titans! But how important are the MHz of a GPU by the way? For the Titan RTX: does it matter if I render with basic speed of 1350 MHz or with the boost overclocking of 1700 MHz? Does it render faster with 1700? I need to know this because of the cooling system.
