Convert G2 Poses to G8

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I have a pose converter product for G3 to G8.

Will it work to convert G2 to G8 as well? Or, do I need to buy another product to convert the G2 poses to G8?

I was thinking that if G2 and G3 share the same bones, then the G3 to G8 Converter might work on G2?

    G8 often won't work well with G3 poses, but there are alternatives to paid converters.

    Great find, dragonfly! Thanks for pointing it out.

    Yeah, I haven't had much success going from G2 to G3 to G8 using ZevO's pose converters. This free utility is a Godsend.

    They don't share the same bones. G3's bone structure is very different to G2's.

    Hmmm, that hasn't been my experience. I sometimes very minor tweaks to a bone, but I often do that with native poses.

    Thanks. I'm going to get the free utility because I found out G2 is nothing like G3. 

    I already have this converter which works well in script form for converting G3 to G8: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-to-genesis-8-pose-converter

    I tried using it to convert a pose from G2 to G8 and unsurprisingly it didn't work.

    I don't want to buy anything new just for the few G2 poses I own, so the free converter is ideal. So I will download it today. smiley
