Using real brands/ models/ logos in renders

In real life companies pay a lot of money to see their brands/ models/ logos in films/ tv productions or influencer vids.

But what if there's an "unwanted" scenario with your brand clearly visibile ?

In real life pics, something could be unintentionally in a scene, but that's hardly possible in a render.

What about things which seem to be protected, but there are imitations already (in countries which care about copyright).

Something like "Twistplay" here in the store, but there are also real life clones.

I'm aware that there are different laws in different countries and that it is your own responsibility if you publish a picture,

but I'm interested in your opinions and experiences...

My advice would be "avoid it, that way you're sure not to have problems with the brand or copyright owners".

Just because you use a brand or logo in a picture, doesn't mean the sky will break open and a legion of lawyers come down. :-) They've got limited time and are more about making sure nobody sells anything with their logo in it and making thousands/millions of it or damaging their name. But unless there's a really good reason to do it (which is a different law, fair use, parody, etc), it's best to just avoid putting, for example, Coca Cola cans into your pictures. But naming it Smoka Cowla and changing the color to green for example is legal, because in the end it comes down to being able to prove something is not mistakable for an officially endorsed real thing.
