It has been 10 all week - now it says 20 for today only, but yeah, I'm going to file a ticket. (Edit: after I give the store an hour or so to settle).

Same issue here, the 20% off today has the same code as the week long 10% off that is still active.

Well... different people may have had different codes for this past week. Which is why I think your ad copy may have been intended to say 10% (to match the code), and why I would recommend filing a ticket with the coupon text as you see it now, where it says 20% off.

THat wouldn't make sense - I had 10 all week, and to offer a special today only at the same percentage I've had all week would be weird even for DAZ. But a ticket has been filed.

Well, I was offered a "special" today at the same rate I've had all week. And yes it is odd. But because of the code on the coupon, for anyone else in the same situation, they may want to take a screenshot rather than wait to see what happens later.

    Okay, that's ... weird.

On the plus side, today's code does work on gift cards.

Yes, my guess would be that the coupon code for today's offer is not the right one.

    Hope it is fixed quickly.

I've sent an inquiry in about the coupon, but customer service will be a good start as well.

My one day only purple banner doesn't seem to be applying. Gift card should discount to 80 from 100, stays at 90 (and yes, I tested other items as well, but this is the quickest way to show the percentage is off).

And that's leaving aside the atrocious verbiage in the offer - did the office cat walk across the keyboard?

Same here-percentage off is not discounting correctly.

    Same here - only 10 %.

    Thanks!

I put in a request, so we'll see..

What coupon are we referring to?

What coupon are we referring to?

It's a one day frequent buyer with 20% discount. It didn't work for me, maybe later on when they fix it.

  • It seems to give full value for the gift card (20%) but only 4% for content, which must be reliant on the peculiar numerical-magic of DazMath.

Just out of curiosity: who counts as frequent buyer this time?

Apparently not me. Considering that I have probably spent the equivalent of the Gross Domestic Product of Tanzania at the DAZ store this year alone, I find this very, very hurtful. smiley

I sometimes suspect that the 'loyalty discounts' are not so much a loyalty discount as a way of saying "you spend a lot, but we think we can nudge you into spending a little more". Whereas if you spend a truly irresponsible amount at DAZ on a regular basis, they just reason "this sucker will buy anything we offer whether we encourage them or not".

I may be overthinking it, but I do suspect that DAZ have their marketing down to a fine science, with everything calculated to a fare-thee-well. And it may be that sometimes they figure that there's no advantage in trying to incentivize already 'reliable' customers.

Well, based on the wording, it seems like it is only looking at the past week...

From another thread, it looks like it is based on the purchases between May 25th and May 31st. Which is a bit odd because I spent over $500 that week, and did not qualify as a frequent buyer. I'm not too sad about it because "there is always another sale," but I would have spent more if I had an extra 10% this week (I was looking at several items at 60% off, and said nah, I'll be able to get that at this discount at any time, I won't pull the trigger--whereas I would have pulled it with 64% off), and I would definitely enjoy the extra 20% today.

Yeah, but how much do you need if $500+ is not enough? :-o (I had one pretty big purchase just that week, plus multiple smaller ones.)

I wonder if it was based on the number of purchases rather than the total amount. I spent about the same amount as you did and got the 20% bonus; but it was spread over about 20 purchases

I had two orders that week for a total of under $50 - which is not a lot for me, so I suspect the 'encouraging to spend' idea is right...

I had 9 purchases over the course of that week. That's more than one a day on average.

Yeah, but it discourages people who do spend a lot. (Okay, I don't normally spend this much in one week, but there was a pretty good sale that week.)

Yeah, nowhere near that. Who knows, except in cases where the coupon is "you bought item X, here's a discount on item Y", they don't spell out all the details of who gets the coupons... Or you were meant to, I assume you checked your messages if you didn't see a banner.

Yeah, I checked them multiple times just to be sure. :) I only have today's message about the pro bundle.

It's not the end of the world, but I do feel a bit sad, LOL. :)

Really? Still only giving 10% for my gift card

  • AlmightyQUESTAlmightyQUEST Posts: 2,006
It does seem weird, I did get the Kala pro bundle in the last week of May, but still was under 100 for that week... Got the 20%. On the gift card thing, it is showing 20% off for me, but my code is different. Not sure what combination of discounts would lead to the "4% off" unless it was used on a PC+ item or something, but stacking discounts stack, it's how they work. The couple items I put in my cart to check seemed to be discounting correctly last night.

Did you get a Victoria Birthday coupon? If so what percentage was it for?

Yeah, I feel ya Ati! I tend to spend a little every other day and I haven't had any kind of banner in awhile, guess I am not spending enough, or to much who knows. I could have used that 20% of a CG banner as i just deplented my CG amount last night. Oh well, always next time.
