When will the next sales season be?

Hi everyone! :D

Is there any "holiday season" on the Daz Shop before the Anniversary Sale in December?

I know there are sales every day, but I mean those where you can find a lot of stuff for 2$, or where you can combine the PC+ discounts with other discounts, or where there's a 50% discount storewide.

Thanks! ^^

American public holidays are common store-wide sales. I believe the next candidate is Memorial Day on the 27th, but I'm a Brit, so I'm not hugely clued up on these things.

    Thanks for the info :D

Sorry, I meant on Daz Shop!

I've been here for less than one year, and I've noticed that there are recurrent sales seasons (like December and March), and I was wondering if there were any in between!

There are, although I can't remember all of it. The PC+ month (which I think is November, although I'm also new enough to not remember all this kind of thing) is pretty good though, when you get to capitalise on an increased PC+ discount and a lot of PC+ for the Day items.

(Although enough $2 items do add up fast, and then I forget to use half of them - still, don't regret SPEX for Genesis. It still works brilliantly on newer figures, and just needs some Iray shaders thrown at it).

Oh, yes I thought that was together with the December one!

So 3 big sales in 5 months, and none in the other 7 in between?

    Very clear, thanks! :D

I'm happy then, because that means that I can finally save something up for a new GPU!

This heavily depends by your standards! :)

Everyday is easy to find 50-60% discounts, but I mean big sales when the discount is around 90% :)

This doesn't mean that I've never bought anything at full price, but if I can I wait

If you're a PC+ member, some of the discounts can get pretty wild with stacking and such. But I think the best advertised discount I've ever seen was 85%, and that was a PAs store in a one day, "banner ad" sale. Until the Mega Sale hit yesterday and today.

The true value of the event sales, (listed above by Chohole,) is the big discounts on new content. You can still get those products at better pricing later on, if you don't mind waiting an indeterminate number of months for their vendor to go on sale again. But discounts of 50% and more on new releases is pretty darn sweet. Traditionally, the event sales are also when Daz will feature catalogs that don't go on sale very often. (Vendors who have passed, for example, but still have products in the store.)

The particulars of any given event sale are subject to change. There are a few set features, like bundled PC+ products during the PC+ Anniversary sale, but beyond that, Daz likes to get creative. Last year's successful PC+ for a Day, featuring PA content for $1.99 was something new. (Still grateful to the participating PAs for that one!)

Anyway, in my experience, if you want/need to invest in hardware, just do it. (I finally gave up on saving money towards a new computer and just bought it on a credit card. Paid that sucker off in about six months. Nothing like that monthly bill hanging over my head to slow down spending elsewhere… entertainment, clothing, food, you know, the inessential things.)
    wink

I have never seen anything except maybe very OLD items go for 90% off here. Never. So, you're gonna  have a long wait ;)

The sale yesterday and today is pretty darn good. You won't get much better than some of the items on sale today. I have a Nightshift3D addiction and cleaned up some stragglers I've been wanting, but knew I was going to have to convert to Iray. Snagged em. Like L'Adair said...85 is maybe the most you can hope for. And TBH, I've only seen that personally when there's a sale and I have a coupon too.

In my experience the very large discounts on older products are rarely offered during the "big" sales, and normally occur inbetween those sales. The only exception to this is the PC+ sale, which does have very deep discounts, mostly on DO products, but during the PC+ for a day promotion, a number of PA items were also steeply discounted.

During March Madness most PAs back catalogues were discounted at 55% at the best, with some 60% off flash sales occuring as well.

I'm talking about stacking up discounts.

Nowadays, thanks to Daz Deals, I can tell that I've achieved an overall discount of 95%. But this includes freebies as well, that I don't know how to exclude.

Most of my products are for Genesis 8, some of them are for G1/2/3, but they're all converted for use on G8 through Smart Content.

I just spend a lot of time examining every sale, because I don't have much money!
The only case when I buy something at full price is if I need it urgently for a story, but otherwise I've not really ever cared about New Releases! I wishlist them, and maybe one day I'll buy them!

I'm against all kind of debts, I don't even have a debit card :)

"PC+ for the day" stuff( when Daz runs those sales) can easily hit over 90%. I think the most extreme I can recall picking up was the $37.95 Miellyn Outfit (released December 2017 for Genesis 3 & 8) for $1.66 during the last PC+ month, the equivalent of nearly 96% off. (Add in the fact I paid for it with discounted credit, and it'd be most of 97% off)

Admittedly some of the discount there was for PC+ membership, and a little for buying a new release, but even at the flat $1.99 price it would have been a current generation item for nearly 95% off.

    I confirm my words!

Of the things I've bought, with Daz Deals selecting "Show Only Owned Products" I have 5 pages: one is from G1/2 era, one from G3, and the other three are from G8!

So yes, if not 95% (considering freebies), on average I buy when something is discounted at 80% or something like that :)
Or course, I consider PC+ coupons, gift card sales and stacking up discounts. And I check every sale, everyday, after breakfast xD

I love those sort of sales where items appear in my cart for 50 cents or less after discounts.  Last time that happened, I bought pretty much everything in the sale that was 50 cents or less, with a few exceptions for items that I felt I'd never ever use.  Those sort of sales are more rare these days, and there's the possibility they may never happen again.  But yeah, it's hard to say no to an item at say 25 cents or less if you think you might use it someday...

Which is why my Daz library is so huge I guess, but I feel good about my overall bargain shopping

.Anyways, at this point the best 'odds' for such a sale happening again is the PC+ anniversary sale, although the sale I'm thinking of from last year with the uber bargains on old stuff was in the March-May timeframe as I remember.

Since I now buy Daz gift certificates regularly when the discount is sufficiently high, and bank a bunch of store credit, that means an even better deal on those items for me, but that's another subject.  If you are a regular Daz shopper, yeah if you see a gift card sale for 20% off or more, you should be banking some store credit as that effectively means 20%+ off everything you buy with said store credit.  Bu,t of course, you need to bank said credit in advance, and those gift cert sales often have prereq purchases that need to be taken into account. Howvever, if you wanted the prereq item anyways, that makes the gift cert purchase a bit less painful...

Some people don't like gift certs since then they are more likely to jump on a sale and spend more money, but myself I like to stretch my pennies farther.

Yes, gift card sales are great, but they are a risk!

Honestly, I don't have much control anyway about spending on Daz shop, so maybe having storecredit available doesn't affect me that much!

50 cents is a pretty big deal! The only things I've seen that discounted were Genesis/V4 items, but nowadays I tend to pick G8 stuff. Of course, I would never refuse a nice Genesis outfit for 50 cents xD
There were times where I spent 300 dollars on 2$ items. Those were really great sales, and I hope to see them back one day!

So, since May is almost over, I'm guessing we'll wait for November, if nothing better comes up on a daily sale?

Sometime in July there is often a heavy discount for 1 or 2 days on a lot of the uncommon (vendor)items based on the browser add-on history.

    Interesting :D

What do you mean by browser add-on history?
