I just read this. Her owners didn't sound like the sort who would have let her suffer for long. I imagine her at the Rainbow Bridge now, scowling contentedly at passers by. RIP, Grumpy Cat :(
That's so sad. She was just adorable.
I hope grumpy cat will enjoy kitty heaven or wherever good kitties go.
:(
...just saw this in the New Yorker.
What is the average life span of a cat?
Ten to twenty years:

What is the average life span of a cat?
Thanks for the info...My 2 cats are now 12+ years old ("old" as my guests would say) but not realizing that the average is at 16 years. So they are really old LOL..Still running around, eating well, responding when called, etc...Outdoor cats die younger but depending on circumstances, as do with indooor cats..
I am trying to render an animation based loosely on her,
sweet TardarSauce
I will keep mine generic though as while not monetised don't want to be seen as gaining from her tragic brief existence
The cat that launced a million memes.
We have 16 security cameras that record 24/7 and thousands of cat pics/videos ranging from pets, semi ferals, ferals, to questionable strays. Some we adopted, some we didn't. Today, my husband gave me his phone and said it's full can you empty the pics and photos. I did and gave it back. He said it's not empty. I plugged it back in and searched folders and found a folder with crap load of videos. Well a year ago after finding a very unsual kitty fighting cats three times her size out back we rescued her. She was very sick. We had a furbo but found better devices (360 cams) and bought three of them. That's what was clogging his phone. We had no idea these things recordered like our house security cameras 24/7. We have video of us going to bed getting out of bed, undressing AND we have video of the cat attacking us in our sleep, paw slapping us in the face, chewing on our hair, hurtling from the cat tower and diiging her claws into our backs, trying to smother us while we slept and jumpimg up and turning door knobs with her paws. This cat has two personalities. A typical cat and a physco killer who thinks we are giant mice, her prey. We have lots of things to upload to youtube, a 24' by 7 ft aviary with 1 inch owls and other weird tiny but beautiful birds. Dogs that pronounce vowels , dance on two legs and sing/howl in key when we play music but this cat beats them all. But we are being very careful on how we are going to release the videos and expose her. We also have a cat that frowns more than grumpy did. Tardar Sauce is copyright protected (they did not need a uspsgov doc) and after engaging in a contract with a coffee company, after the coffee company made a different art form with grumpy's image they sued the company they contracted with for over 700,000k for copyright violations of Grumpy the Cat. Do not make artwork based on grumpy. Use your own cat or adopt a cat and use it.
The cat that launched law suits.
I won’t
thanks for warning, I suspected as much why rendering a generic seal point fluffy cat and not going to even suggest anything closer, it’s not even grumpy! Has tongue out and might use a Flowscape BG with birds and butterflies.
I have much cat footage too
my past cats have all lived to 18 so far
I'm pretty sure that the only reason cats won't eat you in your sleep is because you're too big to fit in their mouth!
I heard a radio show host say one time that the only reason they're not hunted by wolves and coyotes is that humans find cats cute and cuddly and let them live in apartments where said wolves and coyotes can't get to them. Mother nature, foiled again!
