is it possible for future versions of Poser to have support for newer Daz figures?

I am just wondering if there would ever be a way. I feel like some of the issues with poser/daz compatibilty is wieght mapping or something? Is it possible they can provide a fix for that in newer versions, or is this not possible at all?

Not without both companies coming to the table, and as far as I know, that isn't happening. And that's all I'm gonna say about that....

Smith Micro would have to implement a proper deployment of DSON.
Smith micro has already invested in the new "LaFemme"figure for poser.
They have have their own figures and content market.

Dead Horse friend ...Dead Horse.
DSON format is not the real problem, what Poser would really need for G3 and G8 to work is support for dual quaternion rigging.
I have Poser 9 and never did get DSON to work :(
At first I disliked Daz Studio because a) I was used to Poser, b) there was no manual and c) in the early days it was awkward to find anything
But now I am used to Studio. I still use Poser now and then for certain jobs (it can do some sorts of render much faster) and have some older content that I only use there because it is not really happy in Studio. But Studio is now my "right arm". Love it :-)
Lordy is that figure terrible...
There's a reason that most people who use poser are still sticking to the Generation 4 figures.
we still need geograft support in carrara. and carrara is a daz software

they wont even support their figures in their own software.
when hell freezes over......
SM blew it. If you like Genesis figures, use DAZ Studio.
Future version of Poser?
Well, given that Smith Micro makes the money by selling Poser, possibly. But if they stay on their current course, it still won't support G3 and G8 characters, and that functionality is entirely up to S-M.
Locking this as it is inevitably turning to app war.
