Hi, I'm interested to know which are your favourite G8Male Core figures that you actually own. Please share, if possible, in order of priority. Thanks for your help.

Thank you, all of you, for your assistance! I roughly tabulated the results, disregarding rankings lower than 6th. Number of mentions are parenthetical and were (mostly) given priority.

    That's a tall order, only 3. And in order, too!

    1. Ollie 8, because a little bit of Ollie added to other figures/characters can make a big difference in the character looking more real. (Plus Ollie is great on his own, too.)
    2. No. Sorry. I can't do it. Spots two and three are a toss up between Vladimir, Christian and Landon.

    If I had some sort of point system going for rating the male core figures, say a total of 1000 points possible, all but one would hit the 900+ points range. (The one was a great bundle, with cool characters, but the core figure was a bust, in my opinion. Names have been left out to protect the innocent.)

    Edward, Michael and Floyd since those are the only core figures I own and the ones I use in that order

    Pretty hard to chose as they're all great IMO. I'm missing 5 of them (Landon, Christian, Lee, The Brute and Dwayne) mostly as I coudn't buy them on release due to budget overload ^^ but I definitely plan to get them all at some point, even though I don't use male characters that often.

    My favorites are probably Edward (what can I say, I just love him ^^), Ollie (pretty much for the same reasons as L'Adair, great character on his own and very useful as a "mix character") and Floyd (great character with a lot of personality, and his main promo pic makes me smile every time ^^), but the others are really not far behind.

    After the first five it's really hard to say because I almost never use a core character (or any character for that  matter) as-is. Suffice it to say the older characters are my favorite (over 40.....ish) and the youngest ones my least favorite. I don't have any of the toon core characters because I don't tend to do toony stuff ;).

    Currently, I'm using less and less pure figures and started to create my own characters out of different core shapes spiced with different other body morphs and skin textures I own.

    That's why I prioritise couples. They allow me a distinguished look and feel. (Wishlist: Mabel, Floyd, Mr Woo and Mrs Chow)

    I really can't do them singly as favorite but I can in pairs, you can also know that I own most of the add-on characters for those base characters that are favorites and that availability is part of the reason I like the base characters. Also because it's pretty easy to make toon styles from the G8F/G8M base characters with the DAZ Originals head & body morph packages I list those 1st.

    1) G8F & G8M with their respective DAZ Originals head, body, & expression products

    2) Ollie 8 & Edie 8 

    3) The Girl 8 & Toon Dwayne 8 (Toon Dwayne 8 is as close as we're going to get the the Guy 8 I'm pretty sure)

    Those are the ones I've actually bought. If I include ones I'd like to buy but haven't been able to afford I'd include Mabel 8, Floyd 8, Mrs Chow 8, Mr Woo 8 in their Pro Bundle forms. Same with 2) & 3) above, as pro bundles as the 'bargain' aspect nearly disappears when you buy single characters individually and also without add-on character in a similar style as a new character the value and utility to create renders other than pin-ups mostly disappears too.

    I like the male figures but I didn't use these characters yet except 3 of them

    1) Ollie 8 (30% Body morph and Normal maps)

    2) The Brute 8 (30% Body morph)

    3) Darius 8 (Figure)

    I only own about 4, but Ollie is easily my favourite. None of the others really register.

    1. Darius 8 - I do a lot of ethnic characters, so I mix his shapes with various DO and PA morphs. Also, I like his build way better than Michael 8.
    2. Brute 8 - I find his body shape at 100% to be ideal for fantasy characters. blush But I use him at various strengths.
    3. Ollie 8 - I use him and a couple of ther PA characters when I need to make slimmer males. I don't use his face much.

    * Special mentions - Landon 8, I use his claws a lot and he has a nice face. Nix 8, he has a nice skin. Vladimir 8 - I use his scars and beard a lot, actually.

    Like some of the others, I never use vanilla characters--core or otherwise. And I tend to cannibalize skins from everywhere and use them on different models.

    That said... Hmmm...

    1. Lee 8. Definitely. I needed a good solid Asian man, and though I'm not in love with some of the details on his skin (his very red eye skin, for example), he's a good one to dial in when I'm making a new character.
    2. Owen 8 and Lucas 8 are tied. Owen's expressions never work for my characters, and I hate Lucas's weridly red skintone. But I dial their head shapes into characters pretty often.
    3. Darius 8. I use characters based on him more than I use him by himself, but he's solid. He's just older than most of my OCs, so I don't use him as often as the ones above.
    4. I own Floyd 8, Edward 8, and Mr Woo 8, but I haven't been able to use them yet. I grabbed them when they were cheap because I wanted variety for older side characters. :)
    5. Michael 8. I hate him. I want to give him a lower number. His face is weird and smashy, and I only have him because I grabbed a few pro bundles early on to jumpstart my library... -_-'

    (I REALLY want Landon 8, but I hated pretty much his entire pro bundle, so I still haven't gotten him. I'll probably pick up Nix 8 at some point, but since I have Zelara 8, I have enough alien skins for now.)

    I had forgotten... I actually own Vladimir 8.  I guess that, by default, makes him my favourite even though I have never (and may never) use him :-D

    To be fair though, I have a feeling I'd probably really like Nix too, but I've not had a chance to render him yet. I was moving when he launched and was without internet for about a month.

    I also really like Mr Woo and Floyd.

    I never use characters as is. But my favorite textures from the core characters are

    Due to abominable timing, I only own Michael at the moment.

    My top three "wishlisted" characters are

    Edward
    Lee
    Landon

    With Owen a close 4th.

    Like many others, I rarely use characters "as is" and blend and tweak characters regularly to get whatever I'm looking for.

    Edward is my favourite, he is just so realistic, and handsome.

    Floyd is great and mixes so well with other morphs.

    Mr Woo is awesome!

    I rather like older men, apparently.

    Edward crossed with Darius is my favourite hybrid so far.

    Michael and G8M base. 

    These the shapes that I build my characters on because they consistantly sell in each generation.

    I still use Genesis 3 primarily, personal preference.

    Anyways, I do use a variant of Floyd 8 occasionally.  I have most of the other pro 8 figures via their pro bundles, but mainly I'm backporting clothing, etc. to Genesis 3 or using a few of the G8M figures for 'one offs'.

    Still disappointed that Daz3D didn't do anything special for Michael 8's birthday last year.  Vic 8 had a huge sale, but nothing for Mike 8, not even a mention.

    The Brute 8, because I like big guys

    Darius 8, because I like black guys

    After that, I don´t have an order, they all serve their purpose and have specific things I love. I would say Ollie is very charismatic.

    I like Michael 8. Don’t really use any of the others although I own them all.  I can dial what I need from morphs

    Nix.

    I've bought several other G8 males but Nix has become my go-to guy. Not because of all the xeno-spine stuff, I ignore that, just used as a regular character. The skin is really well done.
