only way i see how to do it is copy an existing dsf file and modify it by typing manually?

this solution seems odd.  must be a better way??

basically, i just want to call a couple of morphs.  part of an erc procedure?

Right-click to put the Parameetrs pane in Edit mode and it should then be in the right-click menu on the slider.

Right-click on the slider you want to clone, theer should be a fairly obvious command (I can't check just now) which opens a dialogue in which you choose the destination node.

In case you haven't found it by now here I made a screenshot. Like Richard saied its found in the right-click menu of the Parameters pane if set to Edit Mode. There must be at least one Property selected before the right-click menu looks like this with all the extra options. The Parameters pane in Edit Mode shows highlighted edges around the sliders you click on. This also allowes you to select multible Properties at once with Ctrl+click or Shift+click.

There is an exceptionally large quick info in the Property Cloner dialog, if your mouse is over the Create As Aliases checkbox at the bottom. That must be checked if you want to create DS native style Aliases, let it unchecked if you want the Poser compatible LinkParam.

Here is another one showing the concept of Property Aliases that is used with the pose control properties on genesis figures. The original Pose Control Properties are part of the figures Root Node see the [P] in front of the slider. Then you have the Aliases on the Head Node see the [A] in front. Like descriped in the quick info above the Aliases work with a one to one relationship - you turn one slider the other follows.
