Is DAZ hacked? Sending Request to Facebook...

I am getting a "Sending request to Facebook.com" when trying to do a search in the search store field. I did a Google search and have gotten multiple disparate sites which report in their forums the same issue. It is always a search field on the site and is always a major slowdown in the search. The "Sending..." message shows up in the status bar at the bottom of the web browser if one looks during such a slowdown. I am guessing there are a lot of people who aren't interested in contributing the the growing profiles Facebook has been building on people so I hope someone can shed some light on this.

I have tried a few searches and get nothing, What was your search string when you got this response?
Various products, nothing more. RSSY for instance, single word. This is a fresh install of windows also so not likely anything on this end.
The telltale thing is when search is taking unusually long... that's when the message in the status bar shows up. My google searches haven't revealed anything other then it shows up on sites in the same fashion. No one has commented so far as to a reason or solution other than "it is being looked into."
I get nothing of the sort, either, with or without my adblock enabled.
It is sporadic for me. When it happens, it happens multiple times in a row, then nothing for a while. It just started within the last couple of days.
I usually block facebook scripts but I just unblocked them for DAZ and did some searches and, whle one shows for a fraction of a sec, it doesn't slow my search by any notceable amount.
Yes, I just cleared all browser history, cache, cookies, etc... and restarted. I am now getting a faster search but am getting the "Facebook.com" showing up on all requests, just as a quick blip, as you mentioned. One has to watch the status bar at the bottom of the browser while clicking on the search magnifying glass if it isn't a long delay.
What are you using to block Facebook scripts and is it blocking the status bar message?
Pages do have a Facebook link, and there's a Facebook script wanting to run - it's not a hack, it's just standard. perhaps it was more noticeable for some reason (slowness en route, say) or perhaps you had a slightly diffrent set of permissions from usual.
Yes, that it was just more noticable was what I was getting at when I mentioned it was coming up after clearing everything but only for a second as Pack58 mentioned. What is the Facebook link for if I may ask?
Do you have malware on your computer causing this? You may try downloading a tool like malaware bytes to see if you have been infected with a virus which might be causing these redirects.
I would say it's on Facebooks end and what its enabled in your browser
As I mentioned, it's a fresh install. I have no 3d party plugins loaded on my browser other then a password manager which has nothing to do with Facebook. As Richard mentioned, there are Facebook links on the page that are causing it. I am simply interested in what the links specifically are at this point.
On this browser (FF) I use NoScript. Script blockers can be a pain but I only use this browser for a very few sites and have customised NoScript to allow only the minimum scripts necessary for the functionality I need. To follow links from here or the others I copy the address and paste it to a sandboxed browser on a more security oriented PC if I don't recognize it or to my mediacenter for youtube etc.
Thanks. It used to be they weren't much more then simply turing off javascript. Simply turning off javascript will pretty much kill most sites anymore so that isn't really an option. I'm guessing the script blocker creates similar issues but I might have to look at what's available now.
Yep, Some sites require a dozen or more scripts just for basic functionality and then every page you open seems to need another one or more.
I pretty much only use script blocking on browsers I've set up for specific uses.
Sorry, maybe I'm not understanding this. Are you saying that Daz has scripts that link to Facebook on it's site? If so, why ??
It doesn't bother me. I haven't got a Facebook account so there is nothing it can link to but I don't see why Daz would have any connection to Facebook.
Almost every commercial site I visit has a Facebook script, amongst others. I think it's (one of) the price(s) of being online.
No, I'm saying that there is a Facebook script that runs on these pages - if it's not blocked. I assume it enables soemthign that is potentially useful for Facebook users, but I don't know (it's quite common, in any event).
I'm on Facebook but never seen this BUT when I visit other shop sites like our main dvd/music store in Australia, ebay and other Australian store sites I see ads for them and here on Facebook and Deviant Art for them often advertising products I looked at on those stores
I am really not understanting this. If the script isn't on the Daz pages but it runs on the Daz pages, where is it installed? Is it something that Facebook installs on a user's computer that can see the pages they visit? If so I'm glad I never bothered to join Facebook.
Almost every site under the sun connects to Facebook in some way these days. I don't like it either, but what can ya do? Install NoScript or Tampermonkey or Ghostscript (forgot about that one) if it bothers ya :).

I think that it may be ATI's DAZ 3D helper plugins / tampermonkey as when I do a search for RSSY I get autoforwarded by that SW to Google with the search for RSSY restricted to the DAZ 3D sites shown.
I'm not aware of the details, but it is common for a web page to run external scripts - as others have said, it's often necessary to allow multiple different domains to run scripts in order for a page to load correctly.
I use NoScript for Firefox. Its menu tells me that every page on daz3d.com has a Facebook script that wants to run. I don't do Facebook, so blocked...
Short answer, No, Daz is not hacked.
It is tracking code to link ads to facebook and is under Scripts according to the shop page source.
Here is the script source if you want to have a look :)

Guess we shouldn't be surprised the FB is supplanting Google as the number one Internet Presence in Advertising. It's only a bit of surprise it's take so long.
Zuckerberg announced their new plan for more privacy in his F8 keynote speech, so we’ll see if that really happens... I think anytime you post on a social media site, it’s basically like putting up a billboard in a major city, so just be careful what you post... I see a lot of sites going through Facebook like the OP said, but Facebook doesn’t concern me as much as foreign hackers...
I see ads of the nature 'a list of my friends' likes such & such so I suppose i show up in the ads served to them from time to time as liking 'whatever'...I don't know if what I buy on Amazon.com or WalMart.com shows up on these FB ads though. I've never seen such a FB ad about any of my friends saying they bought 500 lbs of dog food on Amazon or WalMart for example. The cross site data sharing of that nature targets me when I browse WalMart or Amazon it will suggest ads on FB directed at me, not my friends.
I keep my FB & LinkedIn posts very tame but still have had a few drops based on a few people figuring out who I voted for, not that I hide it but it's also not something I wear on my sleeve either.
I avoid the FB feed of videos like the plague.
You can use the Duck Duck Go addon for Chrome to block the tracker. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/duckduckgo-privacy-essent/bkdgflcldnnnapblkhphbgpggdiikppg
I forgot this addon blocked trackers, so when I posted above, that's why mine was never having issues.
Yes I just started to get this to I've been away from facebook for a few months now by got back on a few days ago and it slowing every thing down !!!
