arm grafts

I know that there are various grafted items for genesis figures, tails, genitals, etc. I could have sworn that at one point I saw a creature figure that had multiple arms. Does anyone know if there is anything like that--arm grafts?

I think there might have been a couple of options in the store but they seem to be gone now: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/659372/#Comment_659372

As that thread points out, you can always load a second copy of the figure, lower it a bit so that the second figure's arms are below the first figure's arms, parent the second figure to the first and hide everything on the second figure except the arms.

  • Yup, appears that https://www.daz3d.com/shop/four-arms-for-genesis/ is now gone. Dang.

Which is a shame; I have and greatly enjoy that product. heh.

I keep thinking about doing something like it for Genesis 8... but MAN it's a lot of work.

Why would they remove it? Is it sold anywhere else?

If it's a PA model, it was probably their decision to withdraw it from the store for whatever reason. Sometimes artists move on, from Daz or even the hobby/business.

Not a complete answer to the problem but maybe a freebie alternative.... http://www.threednd.com/greenmartian.html

The problem with these is that they're only good for either creatures or male humans. The Genesis-era product ran up against a brick wall for my uses, because I realised I'd need female clothing to match with them and nothing worked in a visually satisfying way. For creatures they were fine, but there was always an obvious seam, because no existing skins worked.

If Daz bring out an official multi-limbed figure, I can see it getting that kind of necessary support.
