Why do I have double content?

When I open DazStudio, look under "people", I see an actor called genesis 2 Base Male wit a blue flag and an actor called G2M with a green flag.
Is there a difference? And if not, why do I have double content?

There's two Gabriels in the store, one G2, one G3.
You can check the path in the info of DAZ Studio to see if those are the same character or two different ones.
As for the G2M, it looks posed, maybe you saved him at some point?
The G2m isn't part of the Daz Starter Essentials pack - I suspect it's either somethign you saved yourself or soemthing from another set.
I had this happen with models (props) I created... for some reason two copies show up, but only one works/loads, so I usually delete the one that doesn’t do anything if you click on it. Figured it was a bug... But I have an older version of DS.
Nope. Nothing I saved. And what about the different colors od the little flags, actor blue, actor green?
I suspect it's user file typse vs vendor file types, which is why I asked if it was one you'd saved yourself
red = replace objects in the scene (by default - Scenes, Light Presets, Camera Presets), yellow = modify objects in the scene (Pose Presets, Materials Presets, etc), green = add objects to the scene (Scene Subsets, Wearable Presets, Props, etc), blue = modifies or adds depending on use/preference (Character Presets)
I didn't know this, very useful, thanks! :D
So green would be the one I need to put a new figure in my scene, and blue or yellow ould modify the character. Good to know. I would really prefer DAZ had a good manual. These things are impossible to gess for anybody not working every day x hours with DAZ.
It is documented, the trick of course is knowing where to look:
