Prayers heading your way - good luck shaking up the Dept of Health
May God bless you... and best wishes from me.
I know this may sound weird, but specific sound frequencies, especially along with meditation can help heal. The Monroe Institute that creates Hemi-Sync is especially good for that. Here are some specifically for cancer https://hemi-sync.com/search/Cancer/ All of their albums are wonderful and have the best binaural beat technology whether it’s for healing, sleep, or changing your life in other ways. Also as new agey as it sounds, meditations involving chakras and light going through your body can help too. These Hemi-Sync ones and Kelly Howell with her Brain-Sync https://www.brainsync.com/ are both very helpful and I highly recommend them. Here is a great healing one from Kelly and you can sample it first to get an idea of what is https://www.brainsync.com/audio-store/health-fitness/healing/healing-meditation.html You need good headphones for the best effectiveness. CDs/MP3s from these two companies have helped me get through the hardest times in my life. Wishing you the best and sending healing thoughts your way!
Prayers for a fast and complete recovery!
Healing Hugs sent your way my dear!
The fact that it was caught early and responds well to treatment is very good news! Take care of yourself, eat well, be strong, enjoy yourself!
I was born in Newfoundland. We are all direct, fighters and outspoken which is a curse and a blessing. After my Mom died of cancer (radiation poisoning) when I was four, I spent two years with fake Aunts and the next eight in hell. I was trapped in a basement abused by a stepmother from age 6 to age 14. Belt buckles in the face etc. At age 14 back in 1971 the laws to protect children like me did not exist but my case was heard in court in St. John's and I became a crown ward (despite the fight against a wealthy father). I have since fought many legal battles and won, and it's not about money because the claimant sees very few dollars after court costs. It's about the fight, about the cause. The right to undo injustice. If that is your goal fight hard and if you win it will feel like a huge victory. If the fight is to recapture lost monies it will feel like a giant waste of time, a slap in the face failure because how the law values a person's worth is depreciated and honestly of not much value. I was married to a news reporter (a child bride) at age 15 until age 21 but that had nothing to do with my fighter/survival skills. It's the DNA of a Newfie. The truth is you need to do this for others because what we do often won't help us or the ones we love but later it can help and make a difference to others. I am writing a book about workers comp and how workers feel safe but are truly trusting a broken system. I started this book for my husband, but I am writing it for others. We have nothing to gain. In the front of the book, instead of a prologue I am inserting a form. A form people can send to the governement to help others but it won't help us. The law is the law until people demand a change.
1. You will never make a change alone.
2. Do your homework (how many sigs do you need to change a law?) and create an army. An army of signatures.
3. Send those signatured forms to the gov and the media
Sending good vibes and support to fight the good fight!
Expect Miracles... and don't ignore the little ones!
Hugs and sunshine to brighten your day when you're not feeling your best. It definitely sounds like you are more than capable of tackling this head on and being focused.
I discussed many things with Ivy (who is such a joy to talk to, anytime about anything) and I do have a Masters in Counseling, taught Crisis Counseling at a university- and the one thing I would share is this- whatever you're feeling, at whatever time, IS OKAY. It's your mind handling what it has to process at that moment. You may get frustrated when a sudden, unexplainable mood hits you (like being sad or angry) and think, "I shouldn't feel that way," or "I can't let myself feel that way" BUT YOU SHOULD. It's not how you feel, but how you handle it that guides you along. And it's NOT a step backward to suddenly feel sad, after you've "made progress" and been feeling upbeat all week/month, whatever. It's your body and mind getting in sync and doing what they need to do to restore balance. That's why you'll hear people say they just needed a good cry- because they DID.
So if you get overwhelmed, take a breather. If you're fighting for a cause, fight- but still take breathers please. Your body does NOT need that revved up energy level constantly directing emotion at a goal, you need time to slow down and let your body rest.
We're all here for you!
Cathie
Will keep you in my prayers, and wish you the very best.
Stay strong! Wishing you the best!!!
A few years ago I had a friend with a very aggressive cancer who was being advised to have surgery and very low chances of survival since her docs had been ignoring her until she went to an out-of-network doc and was dx'd with stage 4. Then back to her own docs who urged surgery asap. Just having lost my mom a few years before then, because the doctors insisted on surgery which had made it worse because then she could not do radiation or chemo, I begged my friend to go MD Anderson, which is several hours away. MD Anderson told her no surgery as that would make it worse with her type of cancer (it wouldn't cure it, might spread it, and would delay chemo). She did chemo and radiation giving her a 50:50 chance. The docs she saw did nothing but her type of cancer and treated hundreds of patients. Very specialized. She wasn't able to finish the chemo due to low blood counts, but did most of it and the radiation and ended up cancer free with no surgery. She's been trucking along like the Energizer Bunny for almost three years now, with lots of clean cancer checks. Just to say, if you don't trust your doc or they aren't taking care of you, go somewhere else!
