Victoria 3 morphs.

For whatever reason, (and I don't know when) my V3 body morphs went missing. I haven't used the figure in ages. I scoured the internet looking for the morphs with no luck. They also disappeared from my personal Daz Item list. When I look for them in the Daz store, I get a '404' message. Did I miss the memo? Have those morphs been retired? If not can someone knowledgeable tell me where I might find some?

Thanks for any and all help for a very frustrated person... ::: sniff sniff::: and just before Easter also...crying

It's in your product library as "Victoria 3.0 Body Morph Pack".  I don't see a link to the store, so maybe it's no longer in the store?

You should be able to find them in your product library, which is part of your 'My Account' .

On your product list you can search by typing 'victoria' or 'morphs' in the filter box, then apply the filter.

  • Thanks sriesch.  I've got V3 morphing T-shirts, dresses, and even a morphing mertail. But no  "Victoria 3.0 Body Morph Pack". I can't imagine how they might have disappeared. I couldn't even find them in my portable drive where I try to save everything. Cest la' Vie, I suppose.

    Thanks again.

If you bought them in the past they should be in your Product Library here: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_1106

Do they appear if you filter for "Victoria 3" ?

Unless the morphs you were thinking of were from some other product, that was just the obvious product I was guessing you were referring to.  You might also check your product library for

    Victoria 3.0 Character Pack 1

    Victoria 3 Character Morphs Pack

    Victoria 3.0 Base

Was the body morph pack ever available through someplace other than the DAZ store?  Like on a CD included with a physical magazine?  Similarly you might have some other non-daz product that had morphs in it, not sure.

  • Sorry, MelanieL. Nope. No luck. The base figure is there, and the morphs I mentioned previously, but no  "Victoria 3.0 Body Morph Pack". I wasn't aware there was anyone besides DAZ that sold same. I'm pretty sure I purchased them here. I don't even mind paying again. I just can't find anyone (including DAZ) that offers the product for sale.

    Thank you.

Your best bet then would be to scour your invoices for when you purchased them and send a ticket to Daz.

  • This would have been back in 2004-2005. That, along with the fact there is nothing showing I ever owned them, would make it tough to find an invoice. I'm sure Daz folk are honorable folk, but I don't expect them to take my word. I'm beginning to doubt that I ever owned them, although a base figure is pretty much useless w/o them. I would re-buy them providing the price weren't prohibitively beyond reason.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

You can not only search your product list but your past invoices as well...if you can narrow it down to a general date, you maybe can find the invoice here on the site. Mine go all the way back to 2000 and Victoria 1 stuff. My Account/Orders

  • Thanks, AlienArt. As near as I can tell (for as far as I have the patience to flip through invoices, anyway) I apparently never purchased the V3 morphs. It has been a few years since I called on her, and don't really remember much about her. I just ran across a costume in my content that fit an idea I had and I decided to give V3 a spin again. Had my head spinning anyway. It's a shame they don't still have those morphs available commercially anymore.

    Thanks, much to all again!

Some of the 3D magazines used to have CDs that would contain DAZ products (they discontinued the practice a couple of years ago)... over the years I collected quite a few items... Perhaps you picked up those morphs from one of the magazines?  I know that it has proven a little frustrating looking for old stuff I thought I purchased from DAZ, but in reality I got from a magazine.

Since the asssets came on a CD, they would be part of your official DAZ library, so if you lost the CD, you are out of luck.

If it is any help with narrowing down the date, I bought them on the19th December 2002.

They were also given free on a magazine a year or so later.  I saw it when looking through my cover disk collection a while back.  As I have the DAZ store purchased version too, I assume it would be ok to give you the cover disk, if I can find it?

It might not help much for your project, but the Rayne morphs for V3 are still in the store. The promos for CDI sets tend toward the highly stylized, but using the morph dials in smaller increments works well for creating regular-looking characters.

There is also a free set of body and face morphs for Laura 3 at ShareCG, which I've injected into various other figures from that generation (mil3 baby, m3, v3, luke, v3, etc) and they work, though a bit less so with the male figures for obvious reasons. The morph set requires PMD injection, which I can use because I still have my old DS3A installed, but PMDs don't work in current versions of DS. There is another version of the morphs here which is for programs that can't use PMD files and requires a script to be installed -- someone in the comments mentions they've used the script in DS 4.9.

I don't have that so I can't confirm whether it works or not.

Anyway, if you've somehow found yourself with a morphless V3, this at least adds a bit more functionality to the old girl.

I've got the "Victoria 3.0 Head & Body Morphs" pack in my account (as part of the "2007 member's choice bundle one"), but there are no download links..... looks like the products are gone missing....

The download links are there for me (Body Morphs page attached). Are you looking at the Head&Body Morphs Pack (product id 3008)? That just has links to the separate Head and Body pages.

nope, for me it is part of the mentioned "bundle one", and neither on the bundle one page nor on the "head&body morphs" page are dl. links

I do vaguely remember the magazine of which was spoken. I 'think' I remember purchasing or at least seeing it at a book store. But it's been so long ago. Someone has gone through my memory files with an ax. Fortunately, with your collective help and suggestions, I might be able to get some morphs or reclaim them. I may have them stashed away on CDs somewhere. They may be on my 2nd portable drive that went tits up. My NUC computer doesn't have a hard drive anyway. I've had the NUC for almost 2 years and have yet to have purchased a portable hard drive. I tend to procrastinate...

Thank you all for going above and beyond.

  • Glasseye, I feel your pain. I can understand DAZ wanting to clean house to make room for new products. It's not like V3 morphs were probably a big seller, but a 'heads up' would have been a nice touch. Maybe next time.

Sometimes those "heads up" come in the form of last chance closeout sales.

I think this may actually be a store screwup on DAZ's part.  The V3 generation morphs morph sets were originally sold separately, then bundled into Morph & Map packs, Starter packs and a whole lot of other bundles  while the stand-alone products were discontinued.  However, it looks like all of those bundles except for a few Aiko 3 sets, HIro 3 and the Stephanie 3 Starter pack are now gone from the store. The thing is, I have several of those sets and a LOT of the descriptions are messed up, or have the listing for the morphs and maps add-on buried in the text at the bottom rather than having a big icon because the original solo product or sub-bundle that contained it were discontinued at some point before the old store was shut down and the new one came online.  As an example of how messed up it is, the Made In Japan bundle doesn't mention the AIko 3 morph and Map pack being included anywhere on the store page, but it does say that it includes the Anime Bundle, which includes the Maps and Morph set... except what's even weirder is that the description for the Anime Bundle says that it contains the Made in Japan bundle!  So, if you have one of those early bundless, check the description at the bottom to see if that's where those morphs are hiding.

In any case, if I were you, I'd write to customer service and ask them if there's a way to restore them.  Since they're no longer for sale, it's not like it's going to cost DAZ any money, right?

Well since it's clearly there in your Product Library, I guess you need to raise a ticket to Customer Support to get it fixed for you.

Well, for now I've still got the morphs installed and ready for use (though I've not used V3 in - oh - a decade I guess cheeky ), so no immediate need to download them again..... but yep, if the need arises a ticket will be needed...
