Duplicate IDs...I feel so stupid!

Hi all. I know that somewhere there is a script that will eliminate those Duplicate IDs prompt that pops up when you load some things in Daz. I have no idea where to find it, or even worse, how to use it. I would hope that it would take care of the loading time for certain things, as they just kinda sit there until the prompt pops up. I am not sure what a duplicat ID is even, could someone explain what it is to some of us, to help us better understand Daz? How does it work? What causes it? Does it eat up memory? What are the downfalls of having it apply to your character?

I know it may sound stupid for me to ask all this because it has been around for a while, but I never understood what it was or even cared about getting rid of it until lately when I noticed a slag in scenes that have characters with it.

If there is a script to rid it, how do you "apply" a script, I have never used one.

Thanks to anyone who wants to help us out here with this.

No question is stupid. Somewhere on this forum, there was a thread about that ID issue.

I don't remember if that thread offered a proper fix [I don't think so, honestly] so THIS thread is warranted.

Maybe they'll be merged if help arrives.

Which item caused the duplicate IDs message? There has been a recent issue with Genesis 8.

Thanks Griffin, I was hopeing to let this be of help to anyone who wants it. I welcome anyone who has any info on this. If it turns out knowledgeable, maybe we can get it stickied for others to read.

The specific Genesis 8 male issue involved Chimpanzee and King George: you couldn't have both installed at the same time. But now I've looked at the link, I see duplicate IDs is not the same as duplicate formulas, so this will not be relevant at all. My apologies.

Are these Duplicate IDs or Duplicate Formulas? They are different errors.

On the other hand, does anyone know a fix for this one?  I've got a bunch of them popping up on my G3F loads

I assume you have the head morphs for the figure in question?
