Thanks for the link Nyghtfall. I have never been CORE so I don't have the Eclipse option and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

It's weirdly fascinating how different people can be in their approach to things. Having him talk about it in that way was sort of helpful in a "Oh, I suppose that was what they were thinking, yes" sort of way, and showed how it could appeal to some people. And yet, nearly every single thing that he was very enthusiastic about was something where I was thinking, "Yeah, I hate that ... I hate that ... I REALLY hate that ... don't care about that ... yeah, OK, that's fine ... no, seriously, how can you like that? How can anyone like that?" and so on.

Which is why I find it amusing that so many people that comment on the posts by danlev, one of the dA developers that's working on Eclipse, say that a majority of users don't like it, even though it's only a majority of people they know that might not like how things are changing. Do I like all of the changes? No, but I also realize that not everyone that uses the site likes how the old version works.

Renderotica isn't bad. Used to post a lot there.

I don't think they will allow snuff, but they take every thing else you can think of. Horror, bondage, torture, etc,

Renderotica allows everything but Child Porn and Beastiality (Beastiality is illegal in Canada where Rotica is hosted and in almost all states now and Child Porn is illegal in the entire North American hemisphere).  Now fantasy anmials are okay (Dragons, Wierwolves, Minotaurs, Satyrs, etc.) but I warn anyone who goes there that there are things you can't unsee.  One nice thing they have is a filter system on their Gallery so those who don't like violence or other things can limit wwhat they see and it is a Mature log in site.  NOT work safe.

At least it is the only adult content site I know, that is safe. That means, no irritating viagra, porn links, password fishing or sex dating spams.

If you're currently a member of DA and join Core, you'll get access to a new switch they added last month to the top-right corner of your page, to the left of your profile avatar, you can click to enable Eclipse.  For those who haven't seen Eclipse yet or aren't Core members, DA also posted an ad promoting the new design a few weeks ago:

    And here's a review I just found by a 15-year member:

..so you need to pay.  Oh well.

For now, while it's still in development, yes, BETA access to Eclipse requires a Core membership.  At some point, Eclipse will be rolled out to everyone.
