Scene now different to that bought from DAZ

Hi team
My next problem concerns...well, I’m not sure what but I am guessing it may be a question for a DAZ representative
So, Sequence of events
Had problems with compatibility when downloading a scene from Renderosity but your good selves (You know who you are) helped me greatly with sorting that out.
Then I decided to buy “Luxury Bedroom scene” from the DAZ store directly to alleviate those issues and at first no problems, played with it for a while and then cleared the scene. Incidentally I had to do a search for it because I wasn’t sure where the “Download and Install” option had put it (Only option available)
Anyway, my problem is this this. When I went back to my library to open said scene again it had changed.
Originally the scene looked like exhibit A, as shown on the store.
Now when I open it, it looks like exhibit B.
Next step, after farting around for a while, completely uninstalled DAZ as I thought I may have messed things up with my delusion of know-what-I’m-doing clever-dickieness when moving assets around to folders I would understand. (I can be a nugget at times)
However, when signing in to my account and redownloading (Is that a word..?) the DS, it put back all of the configurations I had created, even down to folders I myself had created! Clever DAZ people, and hats off to that, but I really wanted a clean install. So exhibit B still remained totally different to that which I thought I had bought/installed.
Next, to make sure I was not going totally bonkers I went back to the store and searched for “Luxury Bedroom Scene” that I had previously bought and behold, it still looked like exhibit B! All greyish and no colour. To-boot, I couldn’t find the original “Luxury Bedroom scene” with the lovely colours, windows, ottoman et al on the store. It even had a rather nice young lady sitting on the bed which wasn’t there before.
Once again team, I have Googled the cr@p out of this but can find no answer so I am turning to you clever-dickies.
I thank you for your time :)

What product are you meaning to use? The one on the right looks like the "Luxury Bedroom Scene" product on the store, but the other image looks like a completely different product. I am not sure anything from the luxury bedroom scene set is used in the image on the left.
Sorry, I see it now. They are completely different products, the one of the left is "Classic Bedroom Final" by Jura11 at renderosity, and it is in the "Free Stuff" section.
Oops! Got mixed up there didn't I? Many thanks AQ, you must have conducted quite a search for me, appreciated. I am at peace :)
As an aside, is it possible to get colour into the "Classic Bedroom Final" scene
Malc
I can see the set you're talking about.
It looks like it only comes with that one set of colors. If you want to change them, you could edit the textures by hand. Open the texture in Photoshop or GIMP and adjust the color settings, then save the texture with a different file name.
There's an add-on with alternate textures: https://www.daz3d.com/designer-for-lux-bedroom
Since the original textures are grey, adjusting the colors in surface tab might work too.
You could also use shaders to replace the original textures.
Kitsumo and Leana, many thanks for the advice and sorry for the delay, had my head buried in tutorials for days!
Tragically I only have Photoshop Elements 2018 which I can't get to interact with DAZ so I have to render and save my creations, then open up in Photoshop but of course it doesn't take the layers with it. Enough for me to be going on with though until I have mastered the sorcery that is Daz Studio.
The add-on for the bedroom looks great, off to the shop!

You can edit the textues befoe rendering, just make sure you work on copies not the originals (you can then apply them through the Surfaces pane).
If you just want to change colors or such on a texture... find the diffuse map in the surfaces tab .. get the drop menu and choose "browse" takes you to the folder of the current diffuse map .. right click on the texture in that folder and choose the program you want to use to edit the texture.. edit texture then save as with a new name.. should save in the folder you opened it in then select new texture and then click the load button in the corner of the window and your new colorized (or whatever) texture is applied to the object .. tiling etc stay the same usually doesn't require extra work.

hard to see details but all the t-shirts in this picture were done by the method above.. the original is the t-shirt from the Odd's bundle for genesis.
----
Obviously, I used new artwork but I have often done the same to change the color of a brick pattern etc.
---
While everything in the image is rendered .. not at the same time.. it is a muliple layer photoshop image to get the final
Thanks again guys, all on board.
As a bye the bye Alan, when you say "not rendered all at once" does that mean you can render individual objects/characters and is this done by "hiding" the things you don't want to render?
Cheers
Malc
I'm sure you could turn stuff off to render but I was using some older renders like the buildings in the background etc ---
the window frame was rendered, then the city streets, then the cats were each rendered for the 2019 update.
All items were done as tifs so transparency was preservered on each render
then stacked in photoshop ...
----
the lowest level in PS is the background building.. then the cats that are in front of it but behind fhe foreground building then the other cats and the highest level is the window frame.
-----
back layer .. left in color
other building layer in front
the cats are each one a separate scan so they can be placed overlapping each other etc
---
then I saved the tiff file (with layers) as a jpg
and put that image in a file with the window frame
===
and of course you can use different stuff in photoshop
---
have to remember to save them as tiffs so you get the transparency .. but each cat was a separate layer also.
Understood Alan and thanks for all the info.
Being a film maker, I am familiar with such suites as Final Cut Pro, Motion, Photoshop etc., but DAZ Studio is a minefield of various file conventions, structures and navigation. It's going to take some getting used to!
Many thanks again
Malc
I try to remember that you can consider you're using the old Disney concept of the muliplane camera they used in Fantasia ...
---
my background was construction and theater.. so just think of daz as the stage that I set up and then take pictures of
Thanks again Alan, I like the analogies, helps me to understand
