Sounding board for prosthetic leg

I seem to be getting the grasp of modeling, all be it still quite basic.

I've started to build a prosthetic leg based on a c-leg (I will post an image). I also plan to build a couple of modern wheelchairs, an everyday type and a racing chair. Maybe even put together a paralympic package with chair and running blades.

Would anyone be interested in this sort of thing and any comments on what I have so far would be appreciated.

Thanks

Edit: The first image, although it seems to be a render rather than photo of the actual product, is what I'm basing my model around.

That looks good! From a technical point of view the challenge will be to get it to work correctly under clothing, because you'll need to have the socket conform to the figure's leg, and then have clothes go over the prosthetic, so the "fit to" can get to be a bit tricky.  There are plenty of solutions that people here will help you with.

I don't know if adaptive tech sells well but I'm always interested in it - my son is a prosthetics user so I keep an eye out for virtual prosthetics.

Thanks. It may be difficult under tight pants but baggy dforce should be ok. It would also use the characters foot so shoes would not be an issue. Also the leg between the socket and foot could be made into a new surface and made transparant. Rigging is my next issue.

If I can make it a decent enough quality to sell it won't be expensive. If I can earn a couple of beer tokens I'd be happy smiley

    here is the full leg

Nice modeling. I wouldn't have a use for it, but there are a few that probably would. Keep up the good work.

If you set it up to work with G8 & G3 both male and female, that would make it more versatile for buyers.

I would suggest adding to your title so people know the topic. Your title will help others that are interested by finding your topic which is the model, rather than the goal which is feedback on the model.

Thanks, still pretty new to modeling. I'm amazed that I've managed to do it without creating ngons.

If it all works I will do. Not sure it will be good enough for Daz or renderosity, but maybe for a couple of $ on share cg

The only thing that compares with this is the following:

    https://www.sharecg.com/v/91248/related/21/DAZ-Studio/Leg-prosthetics-pack

and that is a freebie. I think if you wanted to sell it here, you would probably need to include some additional related props, like crutches etc.

I think you should set yourself a goal to get this project up on Daz's store - even if just a personal goal from a self-development perspective. From what I understand, their requirements are a fair bit stricter than Rendo's (and that shows in some of the products that are sold over there - not to disparage some work there, that could be sold here but perhaps the authors prefer not to).

I would certainly pick up a quality, realistic, prosthesis pack should you release this when it's ready.

The leg looks good! What effect are you going for with the foot cover? If you're going to show the edge I think it needs to be thicker - like so: https://www.medgadget.com/2018/11/global-prosthetic-foot-average-price-is-in-the-decreasing-trend-from-1-58-k-usdunit-in-2013-to-1-65-k-usdunit-in-2017.html - and if it's meant to be PVC or vinyl it should be a little shiny.
