Well, just goes to show, one man's joke is another man's... uh, well anyway...
hjake, whoa! That's against the rules!
Hah you made me laugh and that’s hard to do.....
Naked sea creatures don't float my boat.
.
Ha!
Ugh... :: shakes head ::
hehehe.
Speaking of japanese sites, there WAS one dedicated to 3D graphics including Daz/Poser, but it was CLOSED 2 years ago or something :(
It was calles artistside and existed for a long time
As for instagram, its such pain to navigate due to lack of albums on profile
I left DA and re-joined (alien-area) and consider leaving again.
Still have an account with erolair but took down my pictures because they ended up on other sites.
Maybe we should crowd-fund a DA alternative?
Edited to delink
Discussing sites to use for hosting is OK, though please be careful to only name and not provide a link with "adult" sites. However, please avoid politics and attacking the moderation policies of other sites. Soem posts have now been removed from this thread.
Give me a break Richard. Hate speech should not be normalized and posts pointing it out shouldn't be removed.
I will say this for DA... Eclipse or no, they have, bar none, the most user-friendly gallery system I've ever worked with. WordPress is a fantastic platform if all you want to do is blog or sell things, but if you have any interest in creating a multi-level image gallery with nested folders, good luck finding a good plugin...
The rest of my new site is ready to launch but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around the logistical headache I've experienced the last couple of days trying to set up my gallery.
Yeah that's the problem Nyghtfall, no other site has a gallery system and user interaction like dA.
...I see a lot of 3D images there that are very borderline in that respect.
...yeah I'll agree, DA's physical setup is probably the best I've seen of any gallery site. Groups can be a good means to get more exposure for your work and I do like the interaction. I just wish there was better means of control for keeping "SFW" art completely separate from that which is "NSFW".
I have no issue with classic Pinup art or "artistic" nudes (as long as the latter doesn't step over the line such as involving sexually explicit/erotic themes or feature subjects who appear to be underage)
My new website is ready. Message me if you'd like to see it.
I've built a website through wix, with godaddy hosting it. I'm terrible about updating it (I'm planning on changing that soon) but its worked very well for me so far. Pretty easy to build pages no code required. The link is in my signature. I have no experience with building a website of any kind.
I don't think they will allow snuff, but they take every thing else you can think of. Horror, bondage, torture, etc,
They do, along with lots of other fetishes
This afternoon, I discovered an alignment problem while trying to add another album to my gallery that I wasn't able to solve - WordPress plugins can be a royal pain in the ass. I don't like being an unhappy coder and my wife doesn't like dealing with my mood when I can't get code to work, so I've returned to DeviantArt.
My previous Deviant ID was inactive for too long to retrieve so I created a new one. On a positive note, I'm starting with a clean slate, page stats and all.

..and this is exactly why I won't try to set up my own site either.
There is an alternative to FB called MeWe, they seem to be big on privacy and no ads, the only people who see you are the one's you want yet have an option to be public. You can check them out and see if they suit your needs.
Only things they don't allow is depiction of minors, beastiality and anything that can be considered direct harrasment of specific persons or groups (non-fictonal depiction of existing people). The latter is subject to the owners' judgement though, the former two are as well, but more binary to judge: either the image contains a minor or animal, or it doesn't.
If you use that continuous scrolling crap, no one will be able to see your older work.
I closed my site last night.
...like I mentioned, on it isn't uncommon on DA to see a lot of nude and suggestive 3D art where the subjects' age is very questionable. I've also seen "liberties" taken with established characters from films like those by Pixar and Disney as well (surprised neither studio has come down on that yet).
I hope the complainers are also taking time to complete the survey on Eclipse - I took the time to point out as many flaws and annoyances I could recall while using it for a week or two (it does have quite a few plus points over the current design).
Main things I noticed were how awkward it was to get to your own Gallery, and once there, the left right arrows take you to random/related art by others and not the prev/next in your gallery, among others. The whole design seemed inclined toward random viewing at the expense of ease of use of artists who actually post new content as opposed to 'collectors' building galleries of others works. A rather serious flaw, but not one that can't be fixed with a few tweaks.
As I understand it, there are a lot of vocal people that simply want any changed version of the site to look and work exactly as the old version, or keep both sites for those that prefer the version that's easy to bypass the Mature Content filter on.
I don't like the new Eclipse because I find it very busy. It is easier to find my new stuff in the old verision... The new version is just a bit overpowering for me.
If you're currently a member of DA and join Core, you'll get access to a new switch they added last month to the top-right corner of your page, to the left of your profile avatar, you can click to enable Eclipse. For those who haven't seen Eclipse yet or aren't Core members, DA also posted an ad promoting the new design a few weeks ago:
And here's a review I just found by a 15-year member:
