A friend asked me to post this

I have an enormous collection of products from TheAntFarm alone. I don't mean to single him out here, because I love all of the amazing stuff I've been getting here since 2010, when I first started to get into all of this.

I'm just amazed at this amazing vendor store. I keep needing stuff from it - and with my first movie on the horizon, this list is a pile of assets I still want to add to my motion pictures! :)

Petipet, Ravenhart, Jack Tomalin, Kibarreto, Stonemason, Faveral, AgeOfArmour, and many, many others, just too many of you awesome artists and code-writers to mention... you guys all know I love your work - that's why my runtimes are overflowing with your stuff too. There's actually a LOT more TheAntFarm stuff I want to get. This stuff is in my Wishlist because I want all of this stuff first. I know it'll grow as he continues to make more stuff that seems to be made specifically for my films! yes

    Whoa... This is So Cool!!!

    Alien Corridor Kit

A never ending labyrinth of passages with potential danger beyond every bend. A sectional set that can be customized for the right shot or video. A large Hub Structure ideal for battles or strongholds against an alien enemy. Just remember to watch your back. Preset parts for a quick and easy set up that allows you to experiment with a few clicks to get just the right look. Look closer at the egg like structure, it moves with morphs. And the set comes with an Alien claw figure great for creeping around dark corners or emerging from the egg. Of course there is a preset for that last one as well.

This is so cool... so strange.

It's like several of the DAZ 3D PAs are plucking what I need from my mind as I continue to write my work. The really neat part is that they surpass my expectations over and over again! It's no wonder why I keep paying them! ;)

Sheeesh... I hope this never ends! yes

I really want Zorn, and will likely get him next month.

Does his mouth open? Just curious, even though it won't disuade my wanting to add him to my collection.

Thanks a million! Are you talking about my renders from my gallery, like this TheAntFarm/ inception 8 example?

    Borderline | Xion

If so, yeah... some of it is some minor post work, like color grading and other subtle enhancements. But a lot of what I show in my gallery is mostly done in Carrara. I've grown quite fond of using volumetric lighting with gels along with volumetric clouds and the realistic sky's fog feature for getting the atmospherics shot directly in the initial render. Since I came into all of this with no prior knowledge of any sort of filmmaking skills, I began my Carrara exploits attempting to do everything without any post work at all. Well... I'm seriously glad that I eventually took up an interest in learning Visual Effects techniques! LOL   Makes life a LOT better! But I absolutely LOVE using Carrara!!!

Mostly, it was from my buying and learning to use Project Dogwaffle Pro - Howler. I was angry at Adobe's subscription model. I bought Howler to try something different. Very different it is! Developed by a VFX artist, Howler really wraps itself around VFX artist and cartoonist workflows. Just learning how to use it drove me deep into wanting to learn more about a lot of effect-making. Howler is amazing for creating animated effects. I love it!

Here is an example, however, where most of the magic is acquired simply by using Carrara's volumetric lighting with a simple home-made gel along with the fog settings from the realistic sky, even though it's an indoor scene. Carrara's realistic sky editor doesn't differentiate between indoor and outdoor. It just works - and it's lightning fast! Then I use Howler's really cool grading tools to bring the color out in the image, as well as some of its FX tools to help the atmospherics pop a bit brighter ;)

Being into animations, I also love Howler's rotoscopy tools, which makes it super simple to change focal-length blur from one subject to the next, and other similar effects like that. Also, even though Carrara has a robust lens flare system, Howler is much more real-time feedback as I work, and since I can easily alter every aspect over time using keyframes, I really like doing that in Howler. Besides, then I'm not wrecking a long-term render over something silly like a lens flare!

    Howler Rocks!

And Carrara overwhelms me with Glee! :)

(the above Carrara shot is for God Rays. I don't use those, but just above that is the Fog setting that I was talking about in that post... Love it!)

(the Howler shot above that shows an artist animating a lens flare using keyframes over time)

Yeah... Bots! I've always been a collector of his scenes, scenery and gadgets. Now I'm paying closer attention to those Bots - those magnificent Bots that are stuck in my memory from frequenting his store. Just so happens that my story has taken a few twists - twists that require some artificial intelligence, cybornetic constructs/implants, and these sorts of things!

    Reaper Bot and Poses

This thing is amazing! Lots of variations built right into the main product makes it an awesome choice for many, many uses - plus the cool poses!

...and then Moonscape Graphics and Sade make this awesome texture set to make it even more versatile

Judgement Day Textures for Reaper Bot

The main, original product, Reaper Bot and Poses, also includes Twelve (12!!!) different paint styles as well as the added bonus of Police decals! This single figure can really add a lot of awesomeness to futuristic renders and animations!
