Not sure what you are looking for and what figure, but here is a link to the store for everyday clothes, just got to the figure drop down and select the male figure you want. Looks to be a few normal looking outfits in there.

A lot of the stuff in that list is not at all "everyday" clothing. I can not see the average granny wearing this one:

But it's a good place to start whe you don't know what they are specifically after.
maybe their older figure has a naughty sailor fetish
You might have to do some wading because you can't filter by "normal clothes" when doing a search unfortunately. It's gonna be slim pickins too. Most of the clothing in the store is made for, uh, younger figures (I'm being kind). You can do a search for 3D Universe too. He has some clothes for his toon figures that look real enough for the more realistic figures and they're more along the lines of "normal" :)

For the females it really is hard to find clothing that doesn't scream 'look at me' or more demurely a Cosmopolitan fashion layout but you can get free woman's wear of that type at WilmaP's that is very typical.

For the men, it's actually pretty easy to find something a typical man would wear that doesn't scream look at me. A pants and a shirt. Just use a suit set without the jacket, vest, or tie or use one of the jeans with one of the casual wear shirts or the entire casual wear outfit. However, there are plenty of men's outfits at WilmaP's too.
The big problem is how the autofit cause the clothing to look painted on and that's not very typical in real life.
Just use the autofit popup when prompted by DAZ Studio to get them to fit or if you don't have that what you do isput the clothing on the indended Genesis generation, load the next generation of Genesis character, eg, Genesis 2 Male and then fit the clothing fitted to Genesis to Genesis 2 Male. Now fit the clothing on the Genesis 2 Male to the Genesis 3 Male and then the clothiing on the Genesis 3 Male to the Genesis 8 Male. Put in a T-Pose (A-Pose) if it isn't already and save as a wearable preset for Genesis 8 and you won't needed to do all those steps next time for those particular articles of clothing.
A few options for G8M:

I second Wilmap's site. She makes very normal clothes for the Daz figures. Stuff you're just not going to find in the store. Also, Oskarsson tends to have things that are a little more demure than the average.

Well Mrs Chow's wardrobe certainly looks like it's made up mostly of things that would actually be comforable enough to wear. Ethnic maybe, but not ridiculous.
Daytime Noir and the Nainai outfit are both normal enough that the little ethnic details are easily overcome with a re-texture as well.
...sadly, there is more available for G8 (due to the older characters that have been recently introduced) than for G3. Thankfully there is Wilmap's site.
Wish I could have been able to take advantage of the deal on the new version of MD. Even with the discount, still was a bit rich for the budget.
I think I told ya before that it's almost stupid easy to convert a G8 clothing item to G3. You can even do props if you want to - you just have to put G3 in a G8 default pose, parent the item to G3, then return it to it's default pose and save your prop.

As with Mrs Chow, some of the outfits relased with Mr. Woo would definitely be useable for other older gentlemen:

Appropriate by who's definition?
Since I read this first time, I've been paying more attention. Some wear jeans and various shorts of shirts, others slacks or skirts with slightly more formal shirts - some very stylish.
It's cold so even if they were inclined I doubt I'd have seen them wearing some items, but why not if they have the figure? And some folks that age do have the figure and look as they've looked after themselves - and probably got lucky in the DNA lottery.
I'd like to see more "age appropriate" clothes, too. For more realistic modeling, older people generally don't like to get sunburned, or chilled, hence high neck tops with sleeves, leg coverings and pull on style pants not skin tight, scarves, wraps, etc, for everyday. I'd like to see a nice shawl, or reboza that could be morphed, over the shoulders, down to the waist, could go stylish or dowdy. Also, jewelry with those old retro clip ons would be nice. Some of those dresses as worn by the actress Bea Arthur and the other gals in the "Golden Girls" would be great. Those old lady characters were very stylish, among the regular cast, from the old Italian lady to the statuesque daughter, the sexy lady, and the demure lady. Lots of inspiration in that show's costumes!
I'll add my two cents here, since I live in a retirement village (in Sydney, Australia), where the 'baby' is a young woman who's just turned 60; she's pretty and slim, and can get away with mini skirts (in summer), often teamed with leggings. The other ladies mostly dress for style and some others for comfort, but always well covered. The men do it the other way round, while I wear T-shirts and short pants all year, and only wearing trousers for church - because I don't care what I look like
Keep in mind that it's sunny most of the time here, with Winter temperatures rarely below 25F, and Summer temperatures usually over 90F, with many days over 120F, so if we're healthy we don't need to wear heavy clothes.
I agree with nicstt in that while age might influence what we wear, it needn't dictate it. Other than this, there are plenty of people who cover up or wear less clingy stuff for religious reasons. They wouldn't be looking for 'traditional' garments that are representative of their culture(s), just less revealing modern clothes suitable for everyday life. There's not so much of that in the store, and a lot of what does exist is more appropriate for a storybook granny rather than a vibrant young person who might have been brought up with different ways.
I love most of the less glamorous figures that have made an appearance in recent months (Edie is my most favourite character ever - reduce her nose to normal proportions and I'm always looking for excuses to use her), and I like a lot of the clothes that have shown up with them. It is getting a little bit easier to dress an Asian girl as though she's going to a supermarket rather than a ceremony. There's no harm in pointing out where the gaps are, though :)
