Using CLO3D for clothing on DAZ characters

I'd like to know the correct workflow for pulling clothing made CLO3D into DAZ3D.

So far I am able to get the DAZ3D character into CLO3D to drape the clothes on. What seems not to be working for me is getting the clothing onto the DAZ3D avatar when I import it into DAZ3d. I am sure I don't know the correct format. IF someone can please help as I am sure this kind of this is a standard MO. I am new to Daz 4 months using the software. Please help :)

    In Clo3d delete avatar save OBJ

    Then import the OBJ to Daz
