DAZ CONNECT TOO SLOW!

I have been a member of the DAZ "team' it almost seems like forever. I cannot understand why DAZ Connect is SO SLOW! I am always stuck on "Obtaining data fro DAZ Connect". I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro and installed my DAZ Studio on it. I transferred my library and installed with DIM Manager. I have over 20 things that say they need to either install or install an update.  It has been two days now and I am lucky if two of them have actually been updated and that is with leaving the computer connected to DAZ through the application. Come on, DAZ, let's get this straightened out! I have always had this issue when changing computers or whenever there are any updates required. Can't you get your servers to go faster? I am a Platinum Member and pay a good price for it. I should not have to have this problem. I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this. I am not happy!

    Are you running any security software on your Mac, beyond what is built into the OS? That certainly sounds as if soemthing is getting in the way.

    No security software. I did an experiment. It appears that these items also had an "update Metadata". I did that, which went really fast. The DAZ Connect then started updates faster. Maybe that was the trick unless the servers woke up.

    I guess something else is the problem.
    If you start the Activity Monitor (fournd in /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app), go t the Network tab.

    Start DS (and then select DS in the Acitivity Monitor network Tab, arrange your windows to that you can see both the DS window and the activity monitor Window, Hit update / download for a connect item, you will see the download speed, and also when it really does anything on the network, it just is waiting for something else.

    Probably a good starting point to figure out where the problem really is.
