Riversoft Art's Look at me

Not sure if we are allowed to post reviews here, so apologies if I am out of place. But this product is probably the best thing I have purchased at Daz in ages. Simple, smart, effective, intuitive, and saves an ungodly amount of time. And it helps to change the whole tenor of a render. Thank you SOO much for this, and sorry I did not find/get it sooner!

I have many of Riversoft Arts' products but I have to agree, this is the one I use the most often.  There are other ones like bone doctor that have a ton of functionality but they tend to be used sparingly for pose conversions or that sort of thing. But this one, potential for use in every single render really.  And it just works, easy peasy.

Look At Me is simple to use and it's such a time saver.

There's just something truly powerful about a character looking directly into the camera lens and this script makes it fast and easy. Move the camera? Run the script again. Click. Done. You can have numerous characters in the scene, and improve it instantly with one looking directly into the camera, and therefore into the eyes of the viewer. (Imagine a zombie scene with all the zombies turned to look at "you"…! Yikes!)

And that's only one of the four scripts!

One of the best investments I've made for this hobby, if not the best.

Completely agree! I've used all the scripts and this is an enormous time-saver.

Its really one of the best scripts money can buy. Saves sooo much time. I believe it's RiverSoftArts favourite as well.

  • Ditto- one of my favorites and most often used scripts I have.

There’s very little sweeter than that first time you select 20+ charactersat in a scene at once, press a couple of buttons and they’re all looking at the camera... in seconds. Sweet. Totally agree with all of the above comments, it’s the best script I own. What’s a big indicator, as well, is that I can’t think immediately think of anything to improve it.

    Love it.

Got to agree, gone is the faff of adjusting and twaeking, neck, head and eye movement by hand - and, to be honest, mainly hoping for the best!  And as has bneen mentioned, not just at the camera - at anotehr figure and another item, etc!

Agreed. This is a product I use for almost every render I make!

One more thing, I buy almost all the Riversoft Arts tools because they are incredibly clever and useful but also because of his amazing support. The stuff he makes is often complicated (not the look at me one though, that's dead simple) but if you post a quesiton the PA products forum he's all over it almost instantly.   I know I won't get stuck with a tool I can't figure out when I buy his stuff.  Definitely a PA worth supporting!

cant you just "point" the eyes to the camera ..and every time you move the camera the eyes follow.?

  • The eyes yes daveso,  the script moves the whole head and neck along with the eyes.  It makes for much more natural posing.  I pretty much use it all the time also.  You can also make two characters look at each other, that's a lot tougher to do without the script.

Yeah, these scripts are right on my scripts menu pulldown.  Indispensible.

I use it all the time, along with Eye Clock, makes my renders so much better. RiverSoftArts products (of which I have many) are awesome!

  • One thing I like to do with Look at Me is to create a Null, position it in the scene, and then use the Look at That script.  This allows me to have characters look at a specific point without there actually having to have something really there.

I have done that, but when I have the eyes risk seeming almost crosseyed as both point to the center of the camera. With this script they look so natural, and the ability to play with neck head and even the percentage that the eyes look at a camera or other person or object. I kept waiting for this to be on sale, and I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner.

Me too. RiverSoftArt's entire product line solves Daz problems, and he is among the kindest and most helpful vendors in Daztopia.
