Maxx HD Mega Pack for The Brute 8

  • Yes it is the sweat overlays that come with Maxx, the drip option. I'm not sure why they were tinted so yellow in the lighting in the scene, will use them with an outdoor HDRI next time.

Awesome! Thank you, I have that piece and have atleast a partial idea of how it fits.

Second is a bit of a weird version (since I mix maxx with oolong), but hey

Would be interesting to see a side by side comparision of Maxx plain and Maxx mixed with your character Oolong. Your render was great....out in the country side watching the sunset....but the lighting and pose didn't give an informative look for potential buyers.  Thanks!

    Ok!

Right hand character is Oolong HD + Brute + Maxx

Here's a portrait I just finished of Maxx. (Awesome character. I love all the options he comes with.) This is Maxx basically out of the box and placed under a simple HDRI and two rim lights, no tweaks to any materials. :)

Great render of Maxx!  I would love to see more of the shirt to see how it fits the full figure.  Which shirt is this?  Thank you!

Oso3d thank you for the comparison!  I really like the character combination of Maxx and Oolong.  Thank you!

P>S> I already have purchased Oolong (as well as some of your other products) so to see something that I already own in combination helps! Which had a HUGE variation of the Promotional Pictures!

Probably reflecting light or something. Remember you can adjust the color/intensity of the wet settings to better match your scene.

    @PatrickTyner:

It's the shirt from Rugby Uniform for Genesis 3 Males. It autofitted pretty well to Maxx, though there was some funny looking pulling under the right arm when I moved his arm forward. Adjusting the mesh smoothing a bit helped a lot with that. It hugs his shape a bit too well at the chest and stomach so there's a bit of a pectoral-shrinkwrap look and a navel dent there. I haven't tried it, but I imagine that dialing the navel out would fix the dent and running the shirt through dforce would make it hang more naturally on him from the chest down. For an autofitted shirt from the previous generation, I still think it fits pretty well.

Yeah I was pretty sure it was the lighting. Thanks for the reminder about adjusting it to counter that, I will do better next time! smiley

Quixotry, thank you for the breakdown and example shot. I know some of the extreme morphs can require a little finesse of the clothing models or creative shots like your wonderful piece. Those are the kinds of things I like to be informed with as I consider adding new characters.

This is so delightful! You made me laugh out loud! I adore the Maxx/Oolong mix!

I love the character, as soon as I saw him and all the options, I got him and made use of the sale to get Dolb who had been on my wishlist. Thank you Hellboy!

Here he is with a mixture of Edward 8 and the Bodybuilder morph to make a sort of rugged hero. I don't actually have the Brute, so Bodybuilder helped balance out his body shape - I still wanted some of Maxx's HD morph details, which can push out too strongly in some of the wrong places without the bulk of the Brute. Love the look of Maxx! I would love to have seen more action renders instead of so many lite and airy pictures. Something either hero or villan in some space armor or in some hero costumes instead of skipping on the beach in speedos or thongs over and over again. Maybe fighting with some giant monster.

Ok, here's a render of SuperMaxx fighting a giant tentacle monster!

    That just looks nasty

    Security Patrol

With autofit, most of the clothing tends to fit the same, a little clingy but generally follows the shapes pretty well. But this was with the Space Pirate Outfit.

Ok! That set is pretty cool....I didn't get it yet due to finances and missing Christian 's set. Mucho thanko AlmightyQUEST that has peaked my intrest for both charcter and suit! Can't wait to try the patch out on Maxx!

Here's a combo of Giant and Maxx (each at 50%, 100% Brute base)

I think it came out nicely!

  • Oso3d that is a great use as well! If that is Josh Crocket's Goiant for the Brute I have that as well! Which clothes and beard did you use?
  • Oso3d thank you, looking in my purchased items, I have the blacksmith outfit, and I put the other things on my wishlist! You are definitely helping me to see some great possibilities both with future purchase and with what I have currently.

Man, I should get a kickback from the other vendors, hahahaha

Exactly! Some sort of bonus if you were to encourage someone to buy from the forums they could send a copy in of the render as a coupon for the poster to get a portion of each purchase.

Maxx without Brute .. how would that work exactly..all the HD stuff or not? When you try to load Maxx, like clicking on the character icon, would it come up an error if you do not have Brute 8?
Or would you just load Edward 8, for example, and then APPLY the Maxx HD stuff?

I think if you load the presets for Maxx without the Brute you would get errors, but loading a base G8M or another character preset and dialing Maxx in works and you won't get errors.

    Another render 100% Maxx
