Victoria 4 Internal Organs product question

Hi! I was thinking about buying this:

https://www.daz3d.com/v4-internal-organs

But I'm not sure about something. I have purchased Victoria 8 from the daz store, and it says something about 'backwards compatibility'. Does this mean, any product designed for previous Genesis Female characters will work? Will this organ set work on Victoria 8?

Also, has anyone used this product? Can you for example untangle the organs, or are they just 'still' props? Or, can you simply load the organs as a separate prop or It has to be attached to a Figure?

And in the product description we can read:

  • DAZ Studio Material Presets (.DSA)

Does this mean it works both with 3Delight and Iray?

Sorry again for another portion of noob questions, I'd just like to know what I'm buying :)

EDIT: Do I need to buy the skeleton separately for this to work? I don't need it really, i just need the organs :)

You CAN fit V4 internal organs to Victoria 8. First, fit it to a Genesis figure, then fit it from Genesis to Genesis 8 Female. It may not be perfect, but might be good enough for your purposes. (I just tried it and it seems to be doing well in various poses)

They are conforming prop items, so they will bend and move when the figure does (although, again, if you've fit it for another figure, this might break amusingly). You cannot morph it significantly or unravel the intenstines.

    It's an old product, it's 3DL only.

Some dashing, amazing PA did an Iray materials product that applies to this and a number of other V4/M4 anatomy items, here: https://www.daz3d.com/iray-materials-for-daz-anatomy

(And as I type this, hey, look, it's on sale)

Gosh, thanks for a lightning-speed reply :) Can you elaborate more on First, fit it to a Genesis figure, then fit it from Genesis to Genesis 8 Female. ? Could you explan this more noob-friendly? Also, the lack of Iray materials is not a problem, I'm using 3DL only, my GPU is too slow for Iray.

Load a Genesis and Genesis 8 Female figure, and the v4 internal organs.

Right click on the organs in the scene window, click ‘fit to’ and choose Genesis. Leave the other option as None. When prompted select ‘converting from Victoria 4.’

The organs are converted from Victoria 4 to fit Genesis.

Now select the organs and right click to fit to, select Genesis 8 Female, and select convert from Genesis, select ‘full body’ for the second option.

That converts the organs to follow the Genesis 8 Female figure.

The issue is that the autofit needs information about how to adapt one figure to another, and there’s no fitting into for v4-> g8f

if you are just using the organs by themselves you don't need to fit them to anything

I don't think they untangle though

I haven't tried Dforce on them

that said I made a video once where Michael 4 spilt his guts, youtube didn't censor that, they only do nudity

Thanks, I needed to know this. Well, actually if this worked with dforce it would solve most of my problems :D
