Maxx HD Mega Pack for The Brute 8

Maxx looks SOOOOO GOOD in his promo images. Now THAT is a cool character! That smile, that skin, the custom fibermesh hair, beard, brows, lashes, the swimwear, the thong, the wet skin droplets - he comes with a LOT! Unfortunately, I'm a bit tight with the finances right now (trying to fix up a very old house), so I'm on the fence on if I should get him now or wait a bit. Hellboy doesn't put out content very frequently, so it could be months before his stuff goes back on sale again, so I'm torn on if I should get Maxx now or wait until things aren't so tight. I think if I saw a few "average joe" renders with him it would help me make up my mind on if I should jump on him now while I can. I really want to get him but would love to see a few renders from the community before deciding. 

To those who've bought him, could you post a render or two? The more the better! lol I'd love to see some "average joe" renders to help me make up my mind. :)

    Second is a bit of a weird version (since I mix maxx with oolong), but hey

    Very nice set. I love the skin mats, and those swimsuits especially.

    Maxx went into the cart immediately after viewing each of the promo images. That was just a formality though. I had already decided to buy him. Hellboy. Male figure. No brainer, imo. Anyway, I checked out shortly after that, but it was late, (after 4am here,) so I shut down the computer and waited to download him.

    Ha, agreed, I had made the purchase before even getting through all the promo images and then went back after to check out the rest. :)

    No render to share yet though, will see if I get one done tonight. I always overdo it when I try for a "simple, quick" render.

    Thank you, Will! :) The Oolong mix is delightful! I love that peaceful look - he looks so chill! lol That must be that planet's version of relaxing on the beach.

    I love the character and all of the bundle options. I was, however, disappointed to learn that the swimwear in the main promo pics is not the swimwear included in the bundle :(.

    It is listed under the "additional promo products" though, and considering that most characters in the store at similar prices don't include any of the clothes in the promos, I appreciate that it does come with two swimwear options.

    Here's a portrait I just finished of Maxx. (Awesome character. I love all the options he comes with.) This is Maxx basically out of the box and placed under a simple HDRI and two rim lights, no tweaks to any materials. :)

    Fantastic portrait! Thank you for sharing it with us! :D I think the only adjustments I'd make is lowering the lip gloss a tad, but other than that I wouldn't touch a thing - he's pretty much perfect! Hellboy really knocked this guy out of the park! yes

    I really like the HDRI lighting you used here too - what product is that from, if you remember? :)

    Thanks. :) I believe the HDRI came from this set: https://www.daz3d.com/ptf-neon-splash-lighting-suite. The other possibility is Sveva's Color Splash light set over on Renderosity. I was messing with elements of both, but don't remember which one I settled on.

    I'm broke at the moment and so I can't comment on what he's like to work with, but looks-wise he's easily my favourite G8 character. Wow :)

    Maxx at the gym. Just scene lights, no post adjustment (though will probably adjust a little before it goes in the gallery).

    I realize now I didn't have the HD dialed in. Not a bad thing just a lot younger looking skin. Will probably try the same scene with it dialed in tomorrow, but wanted to share.

    Love the look of Maxx! I would love to have seen more action renders instead of so many lite and airy pictures. Something either hero or villan in some space armor or in some hero costumes instead of skipping on the beach in speedos or thongs over and over again. Maybe fighting with some giant monster.

    What I am hearing is more pictures in swimwear on a beach. I think I can do that.

    Anyway here was the updated version of the previous image I posted with the HD details dialed in, which are very noticeable!

    Oso3d almost has the right idea, I still didn't get as great a look due to the scrunched up backwards pose as to what Maxx would look like in how I would use anyof the characters that I would buy. As a father and husband, who is curently out of workdue to a back injury,my funds are limited so I am limited to what I can buy. And since my renders are less beach oriented and more scifi, superhero oriented I am looking to see how the character would look in those types of uniforms. By the way, which hero suit did you use Oso3d because your render made that equally as difficult for me to identify but am definitely interested in seeing if I want to add that to my collection? See now Oso3d you could have done more of a Guardians of the Galaxy or old Marvel comics Star Wars style render with your Furries Otter character, which I already have and love!

    AlmightyQuest you are definitely welcome to make more beach pictures if you want to. My request came because with 29 pictures for the promo I didn't see any that showed Maxx in any of the clothing resources that I have on hand and how Maxx (who is an extreme morph) would interact with them. Now I was trying to picture Maxx in the free Juggernaut uniform beating the crap out of the X-men or Hunting the Predator through the jungle like Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer in Hoffmeyer's Tactical Assault Outfit instead of feeling like "Baby Huey". Now I appreciate that a vendor wants to show all the attributes of their work and this set comes with a lot of options, but customers with extensive libraries want to make sure that the new character they intend to purchase works well in other vendor's products as well.

    Well put together image. But what is all the gold/light tan colored smears? Is that supposed to be the sweat dripping down?
