If script products can't be installed via connect...
then why do they provide a connect installer?
I was installing the new products I bought last night. I selected a group, and sat back and waited. Two of the products I bought were the billboards by Riversoft Art. After about ten minutes, I looked at my screen and thought..."Wait a second. I think the billboards said something about script." I thought..."Great." There's no way to stop the install that I know of. And maybe I don't want to stop it. Maybe I need to let it finish so that I can uninstall it. So 45 minutes later, it finally finished.
But today I was looking, and the only place I know where to find the product is under the product folder. I right clicked and said to show the product under Smart Content and Daz said it doesn't exist there. So how am I suppose to uninstall these products now that I've installed them the wrong way?
Seems to me if a product can't be installed via connect, then there shouldn't be a connect installer.

Comments
They should be installable via Connect, or rather they should run when installed via Connect. However, some do seem to have issues - possibly due to the way they use relative paths to find additional files they need for reference - and it is not possible for the developer to test for that situation.

OK. Thanks. I didn't know that. Guess I'll try it first to see if it will work using the Connect install. If not, then I will uninstall and use DIM.
