What is causing this?

Today when I opened up my Daz 4.10 and loaded a character I made with Genesis 8 female, I went to pose her to sit in a chair and I noticed this happening. So I restarted my Daz and I loaded a fresh unchanged basic Genesis 8 character with no morphs applied and when I bent the legs to a sitting position, it did it again. Only with Genesis 8 female. Genesis 3 female doesn't do it. Nor the males. It has just started happening right after I bought and installed the Click two plugin for face making. I have made a few faces with it using Genesis 8, but only one with Genesis 3. I don't see how this could cause the hips to come apart like this. Can anyone offer me any kind of answer to why this is happening. I have included a quick screencap of it. The rear end crack is reversing and coming outward. The more the bend the worse it gets.

I may...not sure but it sounds familier. Is that causing it, I will get rid of it if so.

Seems I do have something called Big Girl morphs, could that be it? What do I need to do?

  • That would seem to be an errant JCM. In the parameters pane, Show Hidden and then go to Currently Used when it happens. It should be in there and you can turn it off. (there may be a long list of JCMs to check though)

As ChangelingChick says, you can just reset the parameter - I know this has been reproted so hopefully it will get a permanent fix.

I did what you said, the only thing listed in currently used is "bend" and when I set it back to zero, the leg just bends back to zero. It didn't fix anything, just moved the leg. It still pokes out.. I looked at everything in the paremeters tab including "all" and went through a ton of adjustment controls. All were set to zero. There were some on/off things listed in another thing called "display", but they just show the leg or hide it. I am at a stand still with it. Should I delete Genesis 8 female and then reinstall her? (I would need help to do that I don't see an uninstaller for her anywhere.)

  • I wonder if youre getting some wierdness from bend control, https://www.daz3d.com/bend-control-for-genesis-8-female-s-46267 . Do you have that? If so check the hip bend control. I see this sort of thing with custom characters occasionally though not so extreme.

Don't have any bend controls installed. All my other characters work fine, it's just Genesis 8 female. I have used Genesis 3 for a long time, I kinda liked the Genesis 8 when it came out. I have been using it ever since with no problems. Just recently it started this after I installed the one click 2 plugin. I can't see how it would effect just her. Works great on her faces even. I guess I will have to go back to using just Genesis 3. So Sad.

I've seen this caused by a bad bowl of chilli.

Ok...no more chili for Genesis 8 female! (You are just crazy Jeffery!)

EDIT: OMG....JeffG....that did it! It's working fine now. Just remove the "chilli" like you said. Live and learn! Thanks JeffG!
