Why are Genesis 3 female faces more sexy & attractive than Genesis 8 female faces on average?

I'm talking about technical problems that cause Genesis 8 female face proportions to be less attractive.

If I were to purchase Evelyn/Lynn, I would have to waste an additional 2-3 days to make her look as attractive as Lydia by adjusting her face proportions.

By sticking with Genesis 3, I lose out on a lot of features of Genesis 8. I shouldn't have to suffer a downgrade in beauty just to use the latest features Gen8 has to offer.

Genesis 8 should be saving me time, not causing me to spend more time fixing ugly character faces constantly.

Its simply your opinion on the 'beauty' factor. You have a choince. If Daz were to follow merely your idea of 'beauty' then theres a high chance that sales would drop off significantly.

Research the lengths facial plastic surgeons go through to understand face beauty so they can make their clients more attractive.

Imagine a customer wants a beautiful nose, but instead the plastic surgeon makes a stupid comment like this:

"beauty is subjective, I can't make your nose more attractive with surgery."

Some facial proportions are VASTLY more desirable and attractive than others. The plastic surgery industry is a testament to my argument.

I already know your counter argument. Some people take plastic surgery too far, I get that, but in the case of Angelina Jolie, proper facial surgery can improve a persons sexual appeal and facial beauty.

Genesis 8 female characters should be more beautiful by default, from there it's easier to make them ugly than beautiful. It's harder to make them more beautiful when their base face is ugly.

Yes, as proven by the fact that I have the opposite opinion on the example you proposed.

If I'm not mistaken, there are only three physical traits that have been found universally attractive : symetry of the face, a certain waist/hip ratio for women, and youth.  Everything else is first culturally dependant (for instance while being very plumpy is considered unatractive by the overwhelming majority of people in our current western societies, some West African countries have a problem with teens being forcefed into obesity so that they'll find a husband, and XVII° painter models and royal mistresses wouldn't stand a chance in middle-of-nowhere annual beauty pageant) and then dependant on the individual, like me prefering the figure you like less.

Assuming that everybody thinks like you is ignorant, and assuming that your preferences are some sort of universal standart is incredibly prideful. Especially on a subject, beauty, where, very notoriously, opinions vary a lot. I followed the link given to another thread where someone complained of the same thing, and when he disclosed what he considered "beauty", it was three figures of a very particular type (narrow face, thin nose, small lips, big eyes, bordering on the anime character) which I didn't even find attractive at all, and I suspect, you wouldn't have, either. Nevertheless, he was apparently as convinced as you are that his peculiar preferences were some kind of beauty standart.

Also : plastic surgeons don't force some kind of universal beauty standart on their patients. As you pointed yourself, they'll modify the nose in the direction the patient desires. Of course, there are requests more common than others, but this too vary culturally too. It's interesting to note that the most common plastic surgeries aren't the same from one country to another. If I remember correctly, it's breast augmentation in the USA, for instance, but Brazilians want to improve their ass and French their nose.

The plastic surgery industry is a testament to the fact that people want to look better, whatever could be their perception of "better", not that there's an universal standart of beauty. The forcefed Mauritanian girls are a testament to the fact that there isn't such a standart.

The Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 base meshes are very close to identical, aside from the ‘A’ versus ‘T’ pose, so I’m not sure what these ‘technical’ issues might be. Perhaps the Genesis 8 HD expressions don’t appeal, but there’s no need to use those if you don’t like them. If the available Genesis 8 morphs and textures are subjectively less appealing to you, Genesis 3 textures can be used on Genesis 8 and there are ways to manually transfer your favorite Genesis 3 morphs over to Genesis 8. (And a potential scripted method is in development)

What a... peculiar... attitude to bring to the table.

You seem so convinced that there is such a thing as objective beauty, and that you of all people are the authority on what exactly that is.
Newsflash: there isn't, and you aren't.

The plastic surgeon in your example would be doing a bad job, because he's not listening to his client.
Which brings us to the oh-so-obvious solution to your "problem": You are the client here, so if you don't like a product, don't purchase it.

Well, I think, G8Females became more beautiful. Maybe, there is something wrong with your sense of beauty ;-)

Well actually it is Chohole with the roll of sellotape to merge the two threads together.   If the conversation becomes too circuitous
