Some of his items were. I even had a couple of his items in my wishlist and just tonight they went '404'.

I just had the 39 coupe 56663  in the cart today. But it was still full price so put it back in wish list. Now its undefined null. I also browed that entire catelogue just a day ago. Now POOF! Maybe it was the 666 in the sku. Scratches head twice.

I had a feeling this was coming when he dropped a couple of new high-priced DS products over at Rendo recently instead of here, but, honestly, I'm surprised he stayed here as long as he did after moving most of his catalog back to Rendo a while back.  Given the relatively slow pace at which he introduces new products and how much he avoids the heavy discount sales at Rendo, I imagine that the constant discount discount discount/new release driven mantra of DAZ's marketing machine wasn't a particularly comfortable fit.  Since most of the items that were in his store here started off in his store at Rendo, I'd guess that they'll shop up there again eventually.

  • Hi All,

My reason was simply for reasons of stress and making life easier and simpler.

No hard feelings here at all.

    All my best!

I've been a big supporter of Tom's for quite a while, and a while back,  he shared the following with regards to his plans for the products found around here...

"...I will be bringing in all of those products and some new ones as well...."   So all is not lost for those of us who still had some slots in their wishlists filled with his goodies...

I'm just delighted to hear the move is a positive one for Tom, and that his products will still be available elsewhere. I too had a few things of his in my wishlist. And if I'd had an inkling he was leaving, I would have picked them up already.

Best of luck, Tom. See you at that other place.

  • Um, Tom, you don't have that new car of yours at "the other place".  Any chance you can put it there?

Best of luck.  I have several of your pieces and look forward to more at the other place.  I'd love to see some updates of your city and suburban blocks.

Living down here in NZ with an utterly appalling exchange rate, I can't buy anything unless there's a sale to compensate. Over the last couple of months Dreamland got most of my 3d spending here and the other place with some Fast Grab, 60 and 50 percent off sales. I am having SO MUCH FUN with them. I wish I could have bought everything but I needed to eat too...such a shame.

Tom (Dreamland) is making more of his products available over at Rendo.  In addition to a lot of Poser items, there are some sweet Daz offerings.  I missed the '39 Coupe for DS' (here) so I was happy to see that.  I also love his HUGE Convention Center product.  Some really great work.

I think almost all the low poly sets that were sold here are now available there (they were all Poser based but can be used in DS).

Rich - I can't thank you enough for the super awesome thread you authored on using the Poser versions of the Dreamland sets in DS  (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/120071/creating-big-city-scenes-in-daz-studio/p1  .   I'm a newbie, but just reading (and seeing!)  all that you were able to do with those products, inspired me to no end!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you......

I've been getting emails from Renderosity.com where Dreamland is uploading his sets over there lately.

That's good news. And BTW, the "other place" is Renderosity and unlike Voldemort you can actually say the name here without fear of reprisal LOL.

Yes he does some awesome city and neighbourhood scenes, the amount of detail that goes into them is amazing.. I now have all 20 of the movie block series, and both city bases as well..
