Genesis 8 Characters I'd Like to See

I was pretty excited that G3 had started going into fantasyland with the centaurs. While I'd love to get G8M and M8, I'd also love to see new fantasy creatures created for G8 that we haven't seen for G3 (much like Reptilian and Minotaur didn't have G3 versions). On the top of my list (and on many others, if my forum searches are any indication) are dragonborn, one of the core D&D 5th edition races. There are ways to approximate that now, but nothing that would be as glorious as having an actual dragonborn! Obviously, this doesn't have to be a base figure for me to get excited.
G3 also had creator creature/fantasy race morphs, but there was a lack of skins and textures to go with many of those, so would love to see that for G8.
As for other races besides dragonborn, anything D&D and/or Pathfinder that isn't easily already somewhat available from G1-G3 (like orcs, elves, dwarves, etc.) would be great, too.
What are the rest of you looking forward to or hoping for release?

I'd definitely like to see G8 updates for the centaurs and demons we recently got in G3. For balance, I'd love to see some angelic stuff, perhaps characters with angelic symbols on their skin. The only one I've found is for V4.
I'd also love to see more djinn/genies. Ahmad for G3M is awesome. I've used him as is, but also on V7 and V8. I would love to see more unusual skins like Maddelirium offers in her Rendo store for V4, such as elementals. Saiyaness did an amazing job on Ceridwen's fantasy skins. I'm already using those on G8 and would love to see more like that.
Everything Saiyaness has done has been amazing! So seconded, for sure.
Actually I have stopped all buying until I see when M8 is released. I use male characters for most of my art so the V8 character has no real interest. I am glad there is a bit of delay beween V8 and M8 as it will give me time to see if they are truly compatable with older figures as well as clothing. My credit card is also enjoying the cooling down period.... :-)
Definitely I'd like to see a G8 super hero...hey, how about Wade Wilson in Deadpool

That movie was hilarious....
I have to slow down due to budgetary reasons but will continue to support new and innovative products by DAZ and the PAs, regardless of what generation they are for (I use them all) I render a lot of males too, and will continue to buy G3M characters and products. I'm currently moving my favorite G3Fs over to G8F to take advantage of the new expressions and posing abilities. Will do the same when G8M comes out.
Would love to see a decent Black character where the artist took time creating the skin and didn't just change the tranlucency or hue saturation of a white skin. I want to see the subtle changes and details at the knees and and on the face that the white girls have.
I'd love to see separatley sold textures for characters, since I seldomly use the morphs of the characters I buy... I tend to buy characters for their texture even if the morph isn't my thing for that same reason...
More color would be a great plus... there are so many shades of skincolor in our world... yet daz characters mostly come in "white" and all the possibilites for fantasyraces that are untapped...
So what I want to see for characters would be the amazing morphs by zev-o and handspan studios for this new generation, real-world morphs as well als fantasy morphs (and fitting add-ons for that)... some great textures and addons for make-up (please, please, PLEASE some 'natural' make-up options too), freckles, scars (if those came with morphs, that'd be awesome!), wounds, dirt, masks, warrior 'make-up' and what have you not...
edit: completly forgot... realistic looking tattoos. often characters come with interesting tattoos, but some just look like there was a sticker put on the skin or latexcolor was used to paint it on... or something like that. Kind of a bummer...
Wounds (small amounts of blood, black eyes, bruises etc)
Poses for boxing/wrestling/fighting in general. Aging morphs, obviously. Massive muscle morphs. Realistic face, not supermodels-- especially for M8, but V8 too.
SECONDED! And something for Asians too, please.
My problem with a lot of the Black characters aren't so much the skin as the features. Many of the women just look to me as re-skinned white people.
So true. Would love to see some tattoo options that look like ink, with some spread or fade with age.
I do already make my own Black characters that I'm happy with. I just love being tempted to buy someone else's unique characters.
[Edited to note that this was in response to posts that have now been removed?]
/Agreed.
I would love to see more diverse models and applaud Daz for some of the wonderful more diverse models they have put out, just wish there were more of them. There are a lot of nice ones at Rendo too and so great hair there as well for POC. :)
I also love the different body types they have recently started putting out more of too. :)
I've seen some cool stuff over there a little while ago, but a good reminder that I should check again now to see what has been released since then! :-)
Edited to add: I also think Daz has released high-quality POC base characters, but so many more POC could still be represented as part of the base characters.
On the topic of new figures, I kind of miss the more alien figures that make use of the geo-grafting technology as well. I would LOVE for there to be a Fourarms for Gen 8 even gen 3 both male and female.
It also looks like the only way we are going to get a good set of 2 or 3 fingered hands is possibly geo-grafting.
I would also love to see a gymnast. Short, but muscled and honed.
Slightly over-weight and less than perfect "normal" people would be great too but I do not think they would sell as well. Maybe as a set.
OOO, I second this also.
This has me thinking more about MALE figures we still have yet to get for Michael 7.
Hopefully M8 will have a lot of alien options.
I suppose I can always hope oskarsson comes out with Easy Tail for G8 as soon as possible, of course. :)
The problem with geografting is that it's figure specific, which is more and more of a problem.
I've been debating what options one might have for doing stuff as conforming or parented objects, though Daz consensus seems to be that such approaches are archaic.
I use George for G3M a LOT! There are just some things you can't do with morphs. I'd like to see more varied muscle types -- a boxer is not the same as a bodybuilder!
DAZ has separate "Fitness" and "Bodybuilder" morphs for at least the last two generations of figures included in the body morph pack. Are they not different enough for you to start with.
I would like a Toon character morph that I can add to other figures and I really hope 3D Universe is watching!!
You know, I don't really want to call anyone out. PAs make what I hope they feel is a top notch product. So if it's something that I don't particularly adore, I just don't buy it. Some PAs do a really fantastic job on black skin, Saiyaness is one and whoever did the base skin on Monique 7 is another. I'd rather heap praise on what I like.
Monique & Darius.
I was having a think about this before myself and to be honest, you've just gotta look through The Atlas of Beauty to see there's more inspiration out there than you can poke a stick at.
Some things I'd love to see more of would be models from:
The Indian Subcontinent (ie India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc).
Middle East (Iran, through to Egypt and up to Turkey)
Perhaps a couple of Europeans / Scandinavians etc.
Men and Women from the former Soviet Union would cover from Eastern Europe, Eurasian to Inuit etc
South American etc.
Just to add some more variety to the mix.
Please Daz... take the time to research and release some more variety.
I've been asking for an East Indian DO character for a long time ;) Hopefully with clothes to match :P
Laurie
I would like more stylized male hunk for pinup work in the vein of Tom of Finland. The current stylized lineup is toony but not sexy (in my opinion).
