Why is there no DENTAL PLAN for G3 and 8?

I find smoking, drinking coffee and tea and gnawing on tannin rich woods like oak or black walnut can help with this.

Zev0 was asked about a new dental product, more than a year ago now, and he said something to the effect there wwere already products out there by another vendor, the Easy Teeth series, (G3F, G3M, G8F, and later, G8M.) I'll see if I can dig up the post… (I was one of the ones asking, as I'd prefer Zev0's product.)

I don't much like the default shaders on teeth, myself. I've found applying the "plain soft wax" shader from the Subsurface Workshop - SSS Shaders for Iray is far more realistic, and I can add a touch of color to the Base Color to make them a bit off-white, more like real teeth. You could try adding stains via the Diffuse Overlay.

If you only need the occasional crooked tooth, you could try using dForms with Influence set to Weight Maps. Use the Geometry Editor to select one tooth at 100% weight, and you could then move it around; Paint the weights in one area, and it should work to change the shape.of the tooth. Certainly not as convenient as a product with dials, but no one else would have the same exact teeth! You could even save the resulting morphs as Morph Assets and have them available for all the figures of that base, (ie G8M.)

I decided to scrap Dental Plan after an alternate offering was released here at Daz. The market for teeth is already so small it wasnt worth the effort finishing and releasing the product. Rather decided to use that time to focus on more important releases.

And it turns out, it was in response to a comment I made! laugh

@nicstt has a some great teeth morphs for G3F at Deviantart.

  • Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 women look amazing, but why are their teeth often so ugly initially? I always have to spend so much time tweaking their teeth with add-ons like "Easy Teeth". When I look at their initial teeth I wonder if these poor women have been anesthetized by an evil dentist who stole all their teeth and replaced them with mints.

That's not how the default teeth should look. They are not round at all like that. Do you have any morphs applied to this character, I have a feeling I know what this is from. Some morphs can effect the teeth even they shouldn't.

If you have no morphs, look at your parameters tab and make sure that it is checked to show hidden properties. If there are any values showing up in the parameters tab with a zero default Genesis character, there is something wrong.
