Question re DIM category downloads

Is it possible in DIM to filter things like environments, props, lights etc to download them? I know you can search by name of the product, but I'm wondering if I can search by either vendor name or tags or categories.

    Rob suggests

    Download and install the Install Manager Default Filters package. Once installed, many pre-built filters are available from the Filter Menu Button (http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/referenceguide/interface/filter_menu_button/start). Feel free to apply and study them, and/or the Advanced Filtering documentation (http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/referenceguide/interface/filter_field/advanced_filtering) in order to construct your own.

    However he also says

    Vendor and category data is not provided to Install Manager by the service that feeds it. Install Manager does not (cannot) therefore provide the ability to filter based on said data; the data would first need to be provided by the service, and then the ability to filter based on that data would need to be implemented. In contrast, Daz Connect uses a different service that does provide said data, and therefore does provide the ability.

    Thanks for the information Chohole :) I installed the default filters and while it does give a bit more, not the ones I wanted. 

    And I'm not going back to Connect - two days ago i uninstalled EVERYTHING and am reinstalling via DIM instead and going back to Content Library. Connect has way too many errors and problems. Sick of it.
