Sci fi Interior HDRIs?
in The Commons
Hey! Does anyone know where I can find some good scifi interior based HDRIs. I can find loads that are fantasy and real life but none in the sci fi genre. I know there are lots of outer space hdris out there but really looking for interiors.
Any info/links would be much appreciated :)

Oh wow, this is a really cool topic. I've not seen any. My guess, if there are any, they would be from the movie industry (pixlar has a very popular one but it's not scifi)
Maybe consider https://www.daz3d.com/architectural-lighting-rig-for-iray as an alternative and use ANY Sci-Fi interior or picture.
I know right! I'm trying do find some as an alternative to rendering full 3d scifi backgrounds as that tends to take ages lol
The DARK Sci-fi takes LONG time and often there is chrome/shiny metal too.
The WHITE Sci-Fi stuff renders very quickly.
For Dark scenes consider doubling the size and then stopping sooner and resizing back down to get rid of the fireflies and grain. Add a couple percent of gaussian blur if needed. Also take a look at some forum times for rendering darker scenes it can really speed up the render.

OMG! Thank you so much for these!!! Pretty much exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for :D
Hmmmmmm... Blakes Seven renders, THAT brings back memories. Clearly those two were a 3D-rendered scene output as an HDRI.
Is there an easy, quick way to render an own scene into an HDRI? Tutorial here somewhere?
With Iray, you can make a spherical render (Camera -> Lens -> Lens Distortion Type). There are some tricks (way beyond my current skill level) to use canvases to get something more complex than a simple jpg/png. There is at least one thread about how to Make Your Own HDRIs from pictures. There is a product that will help with that, too.
Kewl, thankyou.... Drag-and-dropped that thread link to my tutorial-weblinks folder.
