Installing/registering Auto-Fit plugin for Mac

Hi,

Another basic question, I'm afraid.

I recently bought the auto-fit plugin. I have read the .pdf file that tells you how to install it and found the code I need to enter.

However, I can't seem to get DAZ to accept the code! I go to Help>About Installed Plugins - and then the box that comes up does not have a "register" button (at least that I can see).

What am I doing wrong? I tried entering the code directly into the box, but then the "okay" button goes grey and I can't click it.

The Autofit plugin is already included in the "currently free" DAZ Studio 4.6. Use the 30 days return policy for this one.

    Oh, damn.

But if that's the case, why does it demand that I install auto-fit every time I try to use an older prop? e.g. when I try to add the "Adora" hair that comes with DAZ to a Victoria 5 figure, I get a message that says: "You've chosen to fit an unsupported item onto the figure. If you buy the Auto-fit plug-in, you can convert the item to fit the figure."

Why would it be saying that, if the auto-fit plugin was already installed?

It sounds as if you haven't entered your DS 4 Pro serial number - do you haev Window>Panes(Tabs)>Figure Setup in your menus?

    No - I don't have a "figure set up" under Window>Panes (Tabs)

OK, if you go to https://www.daz3d.com/downloadable/customer/serialnumbers/ you should have a serial number for DAZ Studio 4 Pro (assuming you "bought" it from the store - if you are still using the old direct download then you really want to get the free 4.6 version from the store). You need, in DS, to open Help>About Installed Plug-ins, scroll down to find the DAZ Studio Pro Plug-In Bundle, enter the serial number there, click Accept, and restart DAZ Studio.

Many thanks to everyone who responded. I have not been able to address the problem all week, but have finally been able to get it fixed.

As suggested, I found the code for DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro and entered it. The program accepted it fine and now seems to have an auto-fit function.

I could not find any clear "refund" button, so I have opened a customer service help ticket, since this seems to be the correct thing to do based on other forum entries.

    Once again, many thanks.

Does the autofit plugin in Daz4.6 only support Genesis --> Genesis2? When i load a clothing article for V4, in the drop down box it only lists Genesis as a legacy figure.

I got it figured out, if you load Genesis2 figure, the autofit will only convert Genesis clothing. If you load Genesis figure, autofit tool will convert from Gen4 and whatever Gen3 shapes you have bought.

    To autofit V4 > G2F you need the "V4 Shape for G2F".
